What would you choose over SB29SDAC/RDAC?

I've used the 27TAC twice now in 2 builds, entitled EMP and Drottnar. The EMP used modded units because they did not meet spec. The Drottnar used stock units that met spec.

I used an ultrasonic notch in the EMP, but did not in the Drottnar. I think it's indeed optional and up for interpretation.

The EMP used a TMM with the 830991 in a straight 2way. I am very happy with this build top to bottom. It's a shame the 5.25" are NLA.

The Drottnar use the Seas U18 woofer, and are a VERY clean and clear, if not a bit light in the bass.

I've also used the 9700, and heard the 9900, and neither are slouches. The 9900 sounds amazing, and it's 30 years old.

sb26STAC or ADC/CAC in augerpro printed WG...
We'll see how it goes, but I bought an SB29SDAC to see if I can get the output level higher.

It just got here two days ago, and I need to measure the faceplace to model a waveguide.

But the specs look promising, in particular because it has higher BL and 3dB higher sensitivity.

Something I'm curious about, is that the SB29SDAC has a very very modest waveguide built into the faceplate. It's hard to tell from the pics, but it's definitely there. It may be as shallow as just 3mm, but it's noticeably there. The SB26ADC doesn't have that.

The motors are basically identical, from what I can see, which means that it should be friendly to mounting a metamaterial back chamber, similar to what I did with the SB26ADC and documented on diyaudio.
