Okay, I'm asking...
How did you add a magnet to the 32TX with that heatsink in the way? I'd really like to know...

-prob. a larger ring magnet - the heatsink diameter isn't that large. My guess is that a 2" inner diameter ring magnet would do it.
Yes, its the best suitable WG I've found for it so far, but I have to let the cat out of the bag here and mention something. The Jantzen TW034/T35C002 WG is actually a close copy of the WG used in the first gen EAW JF60Z speaker. I was surprised the.first time I discovered this when got a pair from ebay and compared them side by side. They are almost identical in terms of the geometry. The only difference is the Jantzen WG is a solid machined piece of plastic whereas the EAW is injection molded with open cavity spaces. Otherwise they measure and sound identical. The bolt pattern is the same as well.Have you tried the TW034 with the Jantzen waveguide?

I just used a ring magnet large enough to clear the heat sink. I found one on Amazon that works well on both the TW034 and DA32TX. Here's the link for it - 4" Ring MagnetOkay, I'm asking...

You always could grab a WG300 and sand the throat a bit down. Should fit a 34mm dome.If only they sold it separately. The price of the jantzen wg is a bit ridiculous
If I had the monney I would try a SS 99000... maybe with a 24 dB electical... but the price...wow...that price and without beyrillium ! I joke, SS drivers are always been expensive but the discovery serie...
How measure the classic 5" WG like the Visaton & Monacor against the 5" from augerpro ? or three are tottaly different ?

Would it be that easy? I wonder why Troels didnt do that.
He used to be more of a tweaker in the older days...

Sorry, I was replying to the poster above.didn't do what ? Use the Monacor or Visaton ?
I meant why he didnt sand down the wg300

... good catch duvixan... makes me curious . No ferrofluided... mabe with the help of a notch on the 20 dB impedance peak ???

dunno but at least less high.
Really wonder if some heard it here or at Part-Express forum perhaps ! Their coax are well rated for diy, there is a project here if at Diya if I'm not wrong.
I do not know if an impedance notch at the half of the fall could permit to use it at 1800 hz you plan. On the datasheet they say 1500 hz but datasheets are always optimistic.

I wouldn’t know. But it‘s far from an obscure mod and probably has been done hundreds of times.Would it be that easy? I wonder why Troels didnt do that.

There is a thread on a German forum http://www.hifi-forum.de/viewthread-104-30935.html (use google translate)dunno but at least less high.

He ended up liking it a lot.
1800 LR2 acoustic is a tall order for most any 1.125" dome or smaller without a waveguide.
