I loaded about 200 full albums into my car's audio system (hard drive) and they play continuously. The last one I listened to all the way through, was on a couple hour drive north across the GGB: John Fahey's 2nd album, Death Chants, Breakdowns, and Military Waltzes

A couple of hours drive?

That's one set of the Grateful Dead: Dark Star, El Paso, Wharf Rat, Mississippi Half-Step, Bertha, Friend of the Devil, Sugar Magnolia and Box of Rain..

That's about three hours. A non stop ride with tire hum and mind waves syncopated with the music.

Nevermind Franklin's Tower to start the next three hours... ;-)

Just make sure to play St. Stephen and Truckin' as you approach your destination. Gotta come down nicely into the real World. Of course, if you're going to Petaluma, keep at it, no need to come down. (*)

Only better is to listen to Hee Haw replays while on the 99 accross Bakersfield. Switch to the Dead after gassing up in Santa Nella.

(*) You know, sometimes I think Jerry Garcia and Nelson Pass were related.
