Hi
In the Hague Bob Marley played in the old Houtrust hal, so not in Congres gebouw, not sterile at all in the Houtrust Hal!
Funny enough never went to the Zuiderpark gigs, seen BB King in 1981 in a small hall of the Congres gebouw, very nice!
I stopped going to gigs when they became overcrowded and over priced, enjoy the music in my livingroom now.
Cheers, Tojoko.

Cheap Thrills - Big Brother & The Holding Company. Using it to test my new headphone amp.
Saw BBHC perform in Leeds maybe around 10 years ago, while Sam Andrews was still with us. Very small audience but that didn't stop them putting on a great show and they did a 'meet the audience' after the set. They would have been able to shake the hand of every member of the audience and probably did.
tojoko,
I think we are thread crapping with posts on gigs and not LPs, so I'm going to start a new thread on live music - see you there.

Nevermind Nirvana.
The only full CDs I keep are liked in there entirety. The one and two song wonders get downloaded then put back in to circulation usually. Unless it contains an extra ordinary good song with equally good recording. Real estate comes at a premium these days.

"The Bosley Sisters" -- a twin CD of their early 1930's recordings which me and mamselle listened to on an 8 hour drive from NJ to CLE -- you can only take these vocals circa 1932 for so long (i.e. Mills Brothers), but captured in the cabin of the Ford Expedition it was remarkably pleasant.
I always try to listen to the whole album. Last one was SRV's Texas Flood. Before that was Steve Roach's Structures From Silence. Right now, I'm listening to Lana Del Rey's Born to Die.
