It was a serious question.![]()
Einstein's work has provided a remarkably accurate model of reality.
No one has come up with a theory that better ties in with the results of scientific experiments and astronomical observations.
After all these years, Einstein still rules - seriously! 🤩
He'd be spinning in his grave! 😀
In the interests of historical accuracy, Albert Einstein was cremated. His ashes were scattered, but exactly where appears to be uncertain.
However, his eyeballs are believed to be stored in a safe deposit box in New York City, having reportedly been extracted during his autopsy in 1955!
I wonder if they keep looking at Pete as they spin on their axes in the box? 😊
Why? I have not dismissed any of his insights. I merely asked you if by now would he have resolved his own unanswered questions. I would defer to him in one rotation!

Prior to his death, Einstein spent 30 years working on a way to combine gravity and electromagnetism.
On his death, his question of whether a theory for everything existed remained unanswered.
It's doubtful that, given more time, Einstein would have resolved his unanswered question - particularly as the brilliant scientific minds that have succeeded him have fared no better.
Someone claiming to be Albert Einstein is currently voicing UK radio adverts that extol the debatable virtues of 'smart' household electricity meters.
The real Albert Einstein really would be spinning in his grave - if he actually occupied one!

The edge of what we understand is the bound of what we need to survive.....Our brain was built that way.
Once survival has been secured, I would suggest that humans are freed to use their brains to look beyond the bounds of mere survival.
The human brain seems built not only to ensure survival, but also to enquire.
After thousands of years of practice, human survival is now sort of done on 'autoplilot', while enquiry is all about taking 'manual control'!

c'mon, there's gotta be somebody with that name out there somewhere, no?
As an inveterate googler, I have discovered that 'ein stein' is German for 'one stone' so that 'Einstein' was originally a surname given to stoneworkers!
Albert Einstein's son, Hans Albert Einstein, became an engineer, while his grandson, Bernhard Caesar Einstein, became a physicist.
Albert's great-grandson, Thomas Helmut Einstein, became an anesthesiologist and physician.
It seems that brains run in the Einstein family, whereas only noses run in mine! 😀
If you factor in the finite resources of the planet, and it’s eventual lifetime limit, looking at those “bounds beyond mere survival” will eventually become REQUIRED for survival. We have to get off this rock, or at the very least not leave everyone in the same spot (with a big red X on it) - and that will require knowledge of physics far beyond what is known today. Keep enquiring.Once survival has been secured, I would suggest that humans are freed to use their brains to look beyond the bounds of mere survival.

All this ”autopilot”, having everything done for you these days is a recipe for eventual disaster. Smart phones make stupid people, and stupid people never figure out how to survive when the environment no longer permits it.

I couldn't agree more!
Human society is becoming more and more dependent on the internet for everything from banking to medical care.
It may all be very convenient for consumers and suppliers right now, but if/when the internet massively fails our very survival will be threatened.
About life elsewhere. I just wonder what the point is of life in the universe. To me it all seems like an unfortunate accident.
A glorious accident, but still.

... as in: greed.
Could you be mistaking 'enquire' for 'acquire'?
I just wonder what the point is of life in the universe.
Me too!
It could be argued that the only reason life exists is to reproduce itself.
