and i forgot to thank zardoz

By the way, impressed with the results, my friend asked me to do similar stuff for him. But I have asked him to wait for a few days as I need to figure out a way to increase the length of the brown cable. And I must finish one project completely, before starting on another. I have some drawings on making a bigger LCD fit on a smaller OHP, and I have discussed with him about it. I will have to build a trapezoidal container the top of which will fit the LCD and the bottom of it will fit the OHP. I will post it here soon for discussion.

Re: Re: I will try NEC next time

The original plan is :LCD---------flatcables-------- connector------------the printed circuit board,
use this double NEW CONNECTORS AND FLATCABLE
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

then: LCD-----flatcables--------NEW
CONNECTOR ----------NEW FLATCABLIE ---------NEW FLATCABLE-------connector------------the printed circuit board,

do you understand? all.

For people having trouble finding the necessary cable to extend with try http://www.rs-components.com/

They have branches everywhere (except U.S strangely, but I could be wrong)

It won't let me link directly to the product page but if you type "FFC cable" into advanced search it should bring up "flat flexible cable 0.5mm pitch 20-way" which is the one you want. You have to buy a minimum of 5 but at £1.50 each who cares?
