What are you Watching?

My son is mid way through a short vacay to Italy, and after a particularly nice meal suggested I check out Netflix’s Chef’s Table, and specifically the episode on the “butcher who also cooks” in Tuscany- Dario Cecchini.
Helluva interesting back story that Dario has.

Lately have been really enjoying the final season of Succession, excellent, best show on right now. Watched all of The Mandalorian, but have soured on it, it takes "why do Stormtroopers always miss?" to a new level of incredulity. Enjoying Rabbit/Hole, which is generally very good, but the gaping plot hole(s) drives me crazy.

Weird in the best way for me - American Born Chinese (Disney), and for something completely different, Season2 of Prehistoric Planet (Apple). Now that I think about it, a lot of imagination involved in both.

Oh, and the most recent chapter in MCU’s exercise of how much money can to waste on CGI and still not spin a coherent narrative - Quantumania. Nothing like watching a couple of past their best by date? stars - Bill Murray and Michael Douglas - sleepwalk their way through a “script” - Dostoevsky it ain’t.

Alone Frozen. Its my first time since I'm off on injury leave and forget to set my pvr. Alone wouldn't be the first option if given more. But its actually not a bad tv time filler. I'm actually entertained by it atm (its a commercial btw 😉. Daytime programming is pitts.

Really enjoyed this season of "Succession", unexpectedly strong episodes after you-know-who passed.
Now watching "North Shore" and "White House Plumbers".
I used to watch a show that took place in Alaska. Though it may of been a Canadian production. Anyhow does that ring a bell? Nm it jogged as I was typing. Northern Exposure thats it. I was catching re-runs of that until they pulled the plug.

Most avid loyal show watchers seem to prefer series streaming. Wich is fully 👌 and understandable.

As for regular television broadcasting there is not a lot going on that interests me these days.

Spoiler alert, I’m an Angelina fanboy from way back, and every once in a while the YT algorithm serves up a tasty watch again suggestion.
Kseniya’s captivating sand art and the miraculous Tyler Butler Figueroa almost too distracting from her vocal, but as an overall stage performance, I found this quite moving.

Binge watched the 3rd season of Party Down after not having watched either of the previous, decade old first 2 seasons. A hilarious gem of a find, and a total shock that an actor I that I only vaguely remember, Ken Marino, could be such a fantastic slapstick actor, the finest I have seen in many years.
