Watching some muscle car price records getting broken on Mecum Auto Auctions. I guess the US economy isn't so bad after all.
Thank you, I will have a go at it, just have to excavate my ebook reader from some random unknown storage location courtesy of my better half...e-books
The Baen e-books are available in plain HTML, so whatever you use to read here will also work on Baen's e-books.excavate my ebook reader
Revisiting a guilty pleasure from a couple of years ago to catch up on final season on Netflix; “The Royals”. Spoiler alert, not being a monarchist, the sleazy irreverent soap opera take on a fictional and completely dysfunctional royal family doesn’t bother me a bit, and it’s just too cheesy to pass up.
I did see Tom Hanks and Mariana Trevino tonite in the movie A Man Called Otto. A good friend of mine and I did watch the Swedish move A Man Called Ove on Saturday so I had the Swedish movie fresh in my head.
IF I was to make a comparison, the Am movie was well worth watching but .... 🤔
But I want to see it with an open mind and as I a great fan of Tom Hanks and really tried to see and understand how the movie was done to fit an US audience, I really liked it. But I must say the Mariana Trevino was the one that really lifted the movie to the heights.

'Tulsa King', another Taylor Sheridan creation, this time with Sly. It isn't as good as 'Yellowstone' but a fun watch and requires taking no notice of incoherence or shortcuts.
We also started '1883' and it's a lot of mumbling, also not as good as 'Yellowstone' so far. There are some good scenes.
Not sure how the rest of Yellowstone S05 will be since there's already signs of it becoming slightly a self-caricature but we'll still watch when it's out.

Another big bird is the Peregrine Falcon. We killed them with DDT, oops, and re-introduced imported birds at Jordan Cliffs and The Precipice in Acadia National Park, above Bar Harbor, Maine, USA. Today (as in most years) they closed the trails around the nest site so the birds can breed in peace.ospreys
There's no camera on that site; it was picked to be incredibly hard to reach. (Raccoons eat bird eggs.) There is another nest on a building south of here, and biologists walk right up to the chicks to weigh and band them while the parents scream.
Ah, I found a video which is disturbing but interesting. A Taxidermist stuffs and mounts a peregrine falcon. He skims lightly over stuffing insulation foam and wires up the limp bird skin, then spends much time grooming feathers and pose. This peregrine lived its whole life in captivity.
So is was the Traitorous Eight that founded Fairchild semiconductors. Oh, the intruige!

Netflix Rise of Empires Ottomans- Mehmed vs Vlad. Don’t Google the full details of 15th century impalement on a recently full tummy.
You may be very disappointed with the Last Episode - total disconnect with the other 9 ones.Beef on Netflix
All Creatures Great and Small. (Ba Ha Ha! - I know...) A series where someone isnt getting screwed and/or murdered in every episode.
I wanted "Peaky Blinders" to be watchable, but the rate at which sex and violence is dished out to the viewer was just too much.
Same with "The Americans"; just when I was starting to get good 'n hooked, looking forward to the next season, had to quit because of the rate. I mean every so often is understandable to support the story line, but every episode? It's almost like the viewership needs their nightly fix and the producers know that. Oh well, could've been good...NOT for me though.
