Game of Thrones is free on demand this week on Xfinity. Watched the first two episodes today.
Just saw the Batman vs Superman and I have to say I found it pretty enjoyable overall. Could have been made stronger but even so good acting all around. The one overarching weakness in all these kinds of movies is about 50% too much on screen time bashing things about and blowing things up. Take that screen time and give us more character depth and make us really care about the people and plots.
By some early critical reviews, the new "Avengers and friend's" dials some of the wanton mayhem of Ultron, and the last couple of episodes in the series back a bit.
Putting on my fan-boy T-shirt for a moment, I must say the most enjoyable romp in the Marvel Universe for me was Guardians, to which we can look forward to more of next May - and of course with a title such as "Infinity War" there must no doubt be more than just parts 1 and 2 in the pipe. As long as the seats keep getting filled and downloads keep streaming, they'll keep crankin' em out.

"The Walk" - story of Phillip Petit's 1974 coup of high-wire walk between the Twin Towers - yes it really happened. He spent 45 minutes on the wire, and only came in when it started to rain.

Speaking of IMax - caught another of those NASA affiliated shorts on the weekend - "A Beautiful Planet" - they say you can't see national borders from space - except the one on the Korean border at night.

"On Approval" -- an Edwardian comedy -- was on TCM and I purchased the disc to pass around among my friends. We have a circle of folks who do this.
