Eva Cassidy did a wonderful version of that, as well as Sting's "Fields of Gold"
well actually, she left us a lot of heartfelt performances - "Danny Boy" is another tearjerker for me, and I don't get misty that easily

Driving east along Mt Doug Parkway yesterday evening around 8:30 the still almost full moon rising in clear sky above the San Juan Islands and glittering over Haro Straight - no place to safely pull over and marvel.
The panoramic view from Mt Doug must have been priceless

Yes, I have that CD too...very lovely.
Actually I kinda had the same feeling as Northstar from watching the eclipse.
Lol 😀
Grey squirrel scampering across the back fence while I'm griiling salmon and veggies for tonight's early dinner
Watched this last night, in 3D :::
In case you cannot read the title: 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'
Kids movie. The 3D rendition was pretty good with a clean picture with good depth and contrast and popping colors and inky blacks.
The music score...not my score. The surround sound effects...assaulting from all directions.
My overall take: If you have young teenager boys, they should love it.
If you are a mature adult in search of a peaceful time with a loved one...skip it.
If you want to go wild, let it rip with your brain @ the front door before you enter, go with 'Mad Max: Fury Road' instead. ...Much more balanced good times @ the movies...fun times.
Me, I'm different...and curious...about many things. ...3D among them...and Hollywood's trend towards the cash register.

I revisited 'The Good Thief' last night, on DVD:
Very good very good I mucho amore. ...Directed by Neil Jordan (2002) and starring Nick Nolte. ...I recommend.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

No Chris; can't seem to find the time. It's ok, time for many other good stuff.

Last night I revisited this, in 3D :::

I am getting ready for Halloween...sewing my new costume.

'Bout you Chris, intend to see 'The Martian' ...Matt Damon?

I revisited this cool girl last night...in 3D :::
...Mainly to take a break from the costume I'm sewing for Halloween.

I was checking my 3D gear last night, with SpongeBob in 3D...the movie...on Blu-ray.
* Almost done sewing my Halloween costume.
* Almost done sewing my Halloween costume.

Revisited, in (((3D)))
I prefer that much much more than SpongeBob.
* My Halloween costume is finished...ready to wear on Halloween's night.
Happy Thanksgiving! ...Tomorrow (Canada).

Chris, it's a superb film on one of the great modern dance choreographers...Pina Bausch. ...A tribute to her.
SpongeBob is animation for kids, me included, mainly for the great 3D fidelity (high resolution 3D reproduced the right way...not many do).
But Pina is grandiose ART in Dance. And in 3D it is superbly well done.
If you like modern dance, expressionism, emotionalism, existentialism of the highest caliber, Pina is your recipe, your apotheosis towards the essence of excellence in the Arts of Modern Dance. The dancers are among the best of the best, with soul all over their bodies...in&out.
This is Power, this is Sparta. Extremely highly recommended...for people familiar with the Theater scene. ...I am.
And yes, they dance too with the elements; earth (dirt), and water included...with and in it. It's the ultimate...I think.
* No sponges here.
<<>> Check on Netflix...it might be there. I just don't know as I don't have it here...my speed is less than 1mbps.

I really would like more people sharing the great stuff they saw recently...no matter if it was live on stage or on TV. ...Movies, animations, classics, documentaries, ...anything @ all. ...Westerns too...John Wayne...or Charlie Chaplin...The Gold Rush.
♥ Films and Music are what we're made of. Without them I wouldn't even be here posting and sharing...my life would be a gigantic empty bubble of thin air.
Without music diyAudio forums wouldn't exist either. Nobody would build tube amps and speakers, nobody. ...DACs...dat too.

Was watching "Chimes at Midnight" -- an Orson Welles take on Falstaff -- but it has some 1960's contrivances peppered into the work which make it a bit offsetting.
