Random link chasing led me o this unusual piece of music.
It is called "electronically-augmented, percussion-heavy 21st century jazz" and it blends a Steinway with some odd bits of percussion, a pair of steel drums, and a pair of modern digital toys most often seen in the hands of the EDM DJ crowd.
The Ableton Push is a "controller" and it is used to control Ableton Live 9 software. Each of the 64 pads are touch sensitive and can be programmed to play sounds, trigger loops, or control the software.
The Dave Smith Instruments Tempest is a modern analog drum machine with a digital brain.
The sound and video are quite good for a Youtube video IF you have a fast internet connection and you watch at 1080.

Hmmm ... too much playing with phasing effects, gets a bit irritating fairly quickly for me ...
There are supposed to be 5 different "songs" in that video, although they do tend to run together. In some cases there are some obvious overuse of the digital toys, but I find the piano and percussion almost stunningly realistic for a Youtube video on my temporary "system" that includes a $20 "Tripath" amp.
