Yes..
One of my friends friend is a carpenter..
I gave an order to him to make this box. Now he's working on this. I hope he understand the drawing clearly and make a good box for me... He will send me the photos in production line...
I will keep to inform you about the progress..

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
This is the prototype of box for measuring..
I know it looks ugly.. But the final version will be better than this.
After I measure all the dimensions, he will produce 4 boxes for me and my friend.. And will be covered and painted with rosewood...
Any suggestion?
i own 2 2215s
I have two 2230s and one 2238. It tickles me to see some of these 200W current day amps that weigh 5 lbs. Once i even challenged a salesman at a big box store as to how the stated output wattage was greater than the input. (mini nuclear power plant?). He had no answer.
Older Marantz, Mac amps were built like tanks, had pre outs or could be used as a stand alone amp. I am sure you can buy the equal today , but at what cost?

It's a 2250B...couple of weeks ago I thought it's time to own an old Marantz receiver. It''s not bad..
I guess I will use it as preceiver, with a tubeamp.

Fantastic...
Is a kind of wall paper?
By the way,
Do you use a filter for your Flat-5?
What about the bass response? Are you satisfied?

Thanx...it's an adhesive foil from the home improvement market.
yesterday I went there to buy 4mm plywood to countersink (?) or dump (how do you say it in english?) the Diver. I wanted to paint the ply black. Then...in a sudden...there was this light, that comes from...nowhere and there I saw the foil and had tu buy it...looks kinda strange, but I love it...and I'm shure Morticia Addams would like it too...cara mia 😀

I don't use any filters.
The bass is there to...i guess something like 45 hz, but it's not very loud. Usually they shoudl stand at the wall but I use them as room dividers. There will definately more bass, positioned direct in front of a wall. Don't get me wrong...I#m really happy with the bass-response, but I think it could be even better.
They sound absolutely fantastic...especially for the money they cost!
Hmm...
Thats good news..
I have listened this drivers in T&Bs Turkey distributor. But they were in a bass reflex box. And the high trebles sounded me some lack.. But the basses were not bad.
Anyway,
My box will be more balanced I guess... At least as Henkjan mentioned..
Can you say anything about the sensivity? 90dB is a good level, but I dont trust the factory measuring results. They (and their frequency response curve) say it sounds until 20Khz perfectly, but I feel NO..
I will use that speakers with a gainclone and it can drive not more than 28W into 8R...

I don't think, that they go up to 20k...but that's no poblem, cause I'm 40 😀
If you do an A-B test with a good 2way-Speaker you will definately have more sparkeling trebles, but I don't miss them at all and if I would, I would use the trebleknob of my amp 😉

I am also 40 (not really, in fact 39.3 🙂 but I can hear 20Khz (I've tested with some test cds)..
Anyway, this is not our main issue..
I listen classical music and especially the new records have a lot of brighten details.. It sometimes makes me tired but I love this sound anyway.
And yes... This treble problems can be solved with a simple tone controller. The bad news is I have no tone control unit because I dont like their coloration on sound.
May be I must compare its sound with a good two way speaker system as you mentioned..

I only use vintage amps...in that times even loudness was OK.
And...it is...as long as you can't hear all that stuff with the original sound level and who can?
But...here it gets a kind of relegious, so...

If youre mentioning on the factory sheet, then the base line is 8R not 1R..
aha! what an embarassing mistake. thanks for pointing that out.
