Hi Mr. Gabor
Me too, very much. As I was informed you presented this topology to the world, so I would like to express my great admiration to your work and would like to share it further among DIY-ers because it deserves it. Hopefully more and more people will taste this simple amp topology and realize how good it can sound. QUOTE]
Hello
I think these topology existed before I was born1 I'm only 4# years old. So I can't take credit for someone else work.
Probably I brought here to the forum?? Can't be sure.
I work on these topology over the last 20 years or so.
Yes it is sound great, simple, easy to improve it by choosing the right components.
So please keep going with these topology, keep up the good work it will give you a lot of pleasure and fun!
Greetings Gabor
Here is the To264 version
A signal connection through an heatsink is not god at all. The elox surface is high ohmic.

Hi sonnya, i don't understand what you mean. There's no signal that flowthrough heatsink. Can you describ the location please?

Oups ... My mistake.. R12, 13

R12 R13 bounding Heatsink to ground as LC advice it.

Marc, my compliments, very nice PCB-s you've made for VSSA. Your skils become topmost at designing layouts. Congratulations.

Thanks LC, but i am not totaly satisfy with result since board are 107mm with. Goal is to reach 100mm to fit in standard boards so that with a standard 100x160mm board we could eatch 2 amp board. In this way could i go for 2x1mf 50V instead ?
Marc
Marc, it can be done on 50 x 80 mm PCB, so 4 PCB-s out from standard 100 x 160 mm board. I'm working on that right now. 😉

Yes but in double side with smt...don't forget i am for diy : etching bay me.....
Marc
hey, regarding board size (and supply caps)
theres a very nice Nichicon PW series
50V with ø16/18mm, with 7,5mm leg distance
thought about a balanced option ?
(maybe with a bit lower +/-30V rails)

Is there enough room between the output TO-3's for the 2 mica insulators (without the micas overlapping)???
Steve.
Steve.
New progress. Board size is 107x80mm for To3 version. I will get a try to To264 layout.

Those who are présent on layout are 18mm with 7,5mm leg distance.

Depent on isulator. But if not it could be slightly cut.

No, no, standard parts on 50 x 80 mm PCB, only that I will use these output mosfets, ordered four. 😀
