I have since obtained the cheap Douk Audio A5 TPA3255 amp, which does sound great with Vanguard Scout but only after some decent discrete opamps and power supply optimization. The oem 48V/5A smps does sound good but only after one upgrades the stock 18AWG unshielded power cord.Scouts hooked up to an inexpensive Fosi 2-channel amp

I too have the Scouts hooked up to the Douk Audio A5 with the 48V power supply. However, I haven't changed the op amps or the power cord.I have since obtained the cheap Douk Audio A5 TPA3255 amp, which does sound great with Vanguard Scout but only after some decent discrete opamps and power supply optimization. Oh, you are missing out then. The extremely thin, unshielded 18 AWG stock power cord makes sound thinner. I am using the venerable Volex 17604 shielded 14 AWG via C8 IEC adapter, which is good sounding.
The dual discrete opamps I am using are some old NewclassD DEXA opamps, but cheap Chinese SX52B and AkLiam LC5 worked well also. With the stock NE5532 and stock power cord, I thought about giving away the Douk 😱
