Double up for 16db, what more is needed with the miniscule power rating anyways? The beasts had over 1000 pairs per chan.
and why has the simple circuit the gain x4 with one unit? lower source resistor?
But I doubt the LU1014 will do the 2Ampere and also the distortion is not as low as shown from Kokorian in the first circuit.
He claims 0.16% at 1W at 4 Ohm but in Spice I get nearly the double value....

I made a mistake, taking out point bellow source resistors of upper group
move it to sources, to get Mu
move it to sources, to get Mu

now 3rd dominant
play with source resistances in input buffer
or build it and check in vivo
Good job! How much power into 8 ohm are you getting? Also, any tuning option to reduce 3rd harmonic?
replace input buffer with "e" from LTSpice library, set to "1"
that way you'll get ideal buffer stage, and what you get of THD Spectra is strictly from OS
after that, put back this crude JFet buffer, and you'll know its influence in circuit
also, worth trying complementary JFet buffer, cleaner THD Spectra than same sex one

well, that point is good as any
don't ask me, ZM Chicken, my LUs are never going to see 12V across them

I guess mighty LU power and xconductance is tempting, this idea keeps coming up
I tried something like this last year, first coping saying well it could be a cute headamp, though i think it is worse than what you have currently.
Then gave up and and built LuDEF. Turns out one is all you need 😉

My experience curve tracing many of the LU1014D is that the device starts to behaves berserk around 5 to 6 volts Vds. I will have a look at the behavior with a 5 ohm source resistor. What is the drain current of one LU1014D in this circuit?
First thing I would check is what minimum source resistor is required at a certain bias / dissipation to prevent thermal run-away.
LT-Spice won't tell you.
Cheers,
Patrick

Can anyone help me? I am trying to build the first two stages of the Generg version of this thing. I used Multisim but I am not getting good output like he does for my sim?
Output taken from output stage:
Below is output taken from R3 and R7:
Using "Qspeed" LU1014D model which seem to be official based on file contents.
Ahh, I forgot to apply some feedback:
