....
This build will be to the latest ZenMod spec modification ......
good luck with that ........

Don't worry it will workI will blame you if it doesn't work ZM 😉
I must have missed the memo, whats the "No R13" part? I thought it just controlled LED brightness....must do something else as well?
Thanks,

Resistor for led is my guess.
I know what it is, said so in my post, I'm wondering why the "ZM" version deletes it? Just unneeded or is there some other purpose? ZM usually has a reason for things like this, and inquiring minds want to know is all!

That's not what you originally posted. I was answering your original question before you edited it.I know what it is, said so in my post, I'm wondering why the "ZM" version deletes it? The LED is to indicate power to the board. It doesn't need to be there, but it's nice to have it.
My brain doesn't see how the led would interfere with the changes Zen Mod has made.
I suspect Zen Mod likes minimalism. His name isn't Zen Mod for nothing. 🙂

Original question was why deleted, not what was it...wanst edited, just added another sentence, no matter

For continuity of the thread
This is the schematic with the ZM update

Yup, just looks like he skipped the LED is all...

No problem. My brain must be playing up.
I could of sworn the original question was. "What is R13?"

Nope...queried not getting memo on leaving R13 out...obvious its for led, but posters original statement mentioned leaving out R13...didnt mention led as well...made me wonder if there was another reason. Apparently not

My digikey package just arrived. Right Now.
I can make a start.
Still waiting on more transformers to arrive. Hopefully today or tomorrow.

I should clarify
Zen Mod made some resistor value changes
ZM's mod was to change 2 resistors to 3.3k, and change the zener to
something around 6.2v.
What this does is interact with the trimpots to make bias setting a bit
easier and more reliable.
I have a helping hand from a friend to help build the F6
And we decided to leave R13 out as its not required

Yes I know. I was the bastard who complained the circuit should be changed
I'll be using 5.6V Zeners
First up, I'll be changing R1 to 0.47 and R2 to 0.56.For continuity of the thread

Later R1 will go to 0.28 and R2 to 0.47

ZM - can you explain this? Perhaps you have already done so in another thread?
I'm about to power up my F6 in the coming days so if these changes are worth it I will need to swap out already mounted components...
