Re: Surface postal service
International surface mail takes approx 8 weeks, even for small packages.

Naturally this is a much slower option.

Tony,
I have a trematodes respect for Jan and his work. Under the circumstances the extra wait will be truly worthwhile addition to a great design. Thanks for all the work you guys have put into this. If it would be helpful to ship to one point in the US and then redistribute I would be glad to help.

Probably best to distribute to certain few members, one in each country, and have them redistribute. Shipping will be much less costly this way. Yeah I know about taxes, but you can find a way around that. The Chinese sent me hundreds of boards and they claimed the cost to be $150. I didnt ask them to mind you. But anyway, I never got taxed.

I wouldn't have thought the extra effort and time required to send it two locations would be worth the small cost saving
Just to keep you guys up to date, this is a post on the other thread.
To all,
We are moving forward quite nicely with the refinements to this regulator thanks mainly to Jan’s efforts and also to so many others that have contributed before.
Our next task is the layout of the board to meet Jan’s outlines and this work will be done by Colin which was kind enough to accept this responsibility; so in a few days we can expect results.
Cheers,

Hi Tony,
Is it still possible to add myself to the list for the Shunt Regulators?
Also, will the voltage still be adjustable?
Thanks,
West

can't wait for the regulator boards...I have a Scott Nixon DAC that is desperately in need of some clean juicly power..
Hey all,
I've just found this GB and have been trying to catch up on all the posts. Could someone state what the specs are in terms of max/min output voltage and max current limit?
Cheers.

Hi,
you could go down to the lower limit of ~ 5V and to an upper limit determined by the voltage ratings and dissipations of the components.
It can supply from a low limit of 1mA +-1mA up to at least 200mA +-100mA but again this upper limit is determined by the ratings of the components used.
This CCS+Shunt is truly universal.

One other quick question as I'm new to all this and trying to learn, but what are the advantages of this regulator over the other discrete and/or enhanced IC regulators?
Is it purely a nice simple and cheap design that is aimed at bettering the performance of the IC regulators?
Oh, and if I add my name to the wiki, what is the "info email" I need to send? I think I must have skimmed past that post.
Cheers.

If we get it working close to the simulated results then it offers far better HF performance than any of the IC regulators.
The CCS part makes it damage free if short circuited.
It is potentially very low noise.

Hi All,
I'm looking for a very stable DC varible power supply to drive my 6V Maxon A-max motor driving my TT.
would this regulator do the job?
THanks

Count me in as well
Could you please put me down for 8 regulator boards, and 2 NS-10 boards.

You need to edit the wiki to be added. This has been quite for some time is the group buy still on?
thanks

I should have looked, to answer my own questions I looked at the original thread and it looked like they are having some issues with oscillating. It will be worth the wait.
