I think everybody appreciates the good will and help offered by others, thanks for that and we will do this GB the best way we can.

I see Fred giving a step forward to help Dennis finish this work and this is greatly appreciated.
Living in Canada and nearby Dennis is a plus of course but we need Dennis opinion on this if he feels comfortable and think it is doable, if so, from my side, he can go ahead with this.

Anyway, Dennis, in my opinion you will still be responsible to the eyes of other members since you will be managing the funds of this GB.

Best to all.

Dennis has emailed me about sharing the GB administration and it is a go. Dennis will get the costs finalized and then we will start emailing the invoices. I will try to take as much of the administration of emailing and tallying as I can from Dennis but he will still handle the finances and pcb fabrication. We will get the mailing done one weekend after the boards are done.

The GB funds will have to be collected in advance as Dennis has not ordered from the manufacturer before and they will need an advance.

This note is all I have time for to-day but we are back on the road.

Fred

Great, we are moving forward then 😎

Fred, we need updated quotes from the supplier for the actual quantities; could you see if this is possible this week?

Also we need to stablish a closing date for the GB.

Manu: does Dennis have the latest Gerbers?

Cheers, Tony

pcb supplier prices

Tony, Dennis will be handling the contacts with the supplier. I'll see what I can do about checking the WIKI numbers as soon as tomorrow. Then I will pass these on to Dennis. I thought that someone had already checked and updated the numbers recently though, so it shouldn't take too much work.

The closing date was set to be around Christmas, so I feel that we can close it anytime, perhaps this Sunday?

Would you recommend a few extra boards be ordered as it is done in other GB?

Fred

Numbers in the WIKI

Throwing the WIKI in a spreadsheet I have totalled the NS-10s at 169 and the Regulators at 1327. I chose 9 regulators for one individual who had 9 or 18 on his line. There are about 15 who have not sent the confirming email in this total. This reduces the number of NS-10s by 18 and the number of regulators by 96.

So the confirmed numbers are:

NS-10 = 151
Regulators = 1231

Hi,
add a few spare NS-10 in case any get lost in the post.
Similarly add a lot spare of the reg PCBs.
Any left over will sell quite quickly. These PCBs are a bargain and have many uses. Just look how the orders just keep coming in.

I'm tempted to suggest 160 NS-10 and either 1400 or 1500 of regs.

the reg PCB is estimated at 50gm.
Dennis reckoned that 9PCBs would come in under the 500gm limit for international post and 18PCBs under the 1kg limit.
That's why I have 9 or 18 in my quantities.
If I can get 19 or 20PCBs into the 1kg package then I will change my order. But no one can tell us until the batch of PCBs are weighed.
Dennis also gave a list of post costs to various destinations.
Go read.

Thanks Fred,

I would suggest to contact via email those 15 or so members missing confirmation.

I would also suggest closing the GB next Monday or there abouts.

Anyway, you are the one to make all these oficial.

Cheers,

Cheers,

I've PM'ed those members yesterday and some have
gotten back to me. The only exception being one
member who didn't accept PM through the forum.

I agree we should close this GB soon. Monday is ok for me.

I suggest we order some spares. My current count of
those members who have contacted me is in the 1250
range. I'm not sure if we need to go up to 1500 boards
as Andrew suggested.

Dennis

Thanks for the explanation Andrew. I'm sorry that I didn't have time to check through the thread for the details. It was late at night and I just wanted to report the numbers to start the process.

Hi Dennis,

Sorry to hear about family illness and hope for good recovery.

Perhaps, if all the guys out here are okay with this, you could send all the pcbs for Australia, and perhaps also NZ, out to me and I'll send them on locally.

There are 9 orders here in Oz (100 regs, 16 pre) and another 2 in NZ (26 regs, 2 pre)

If everyone is okay with this and payments sent to Dennis, all I have to do is send the boards onto you, no problem.

Wouls this be of any help, Dennis?

[ We have this import limit of Aus$500 / week without paying the 10% GST(tax) - so 2 parcels, unfortunately]

Hi James,

That may actually work quite well, especially if local shipping
at your end is reasonable.

Perhaps those in your part of the world can get in touch
with you if they are interested.

Cheers,
Dennis

Glad to see that the contacts have already been done Dennis but I was hoping to save you that task. It was to be my job for to-day. But great, no homework.

Monday at midnight EST then is the cutoff?

order some spares, the actual quantity to be confirmed, by those funding the order.
Keep the GB open.
Stragglers can go on the waiting list. Once all orders have been received then the waiting list gets allocated, to earliest first, from the remaining stock.

Decide if you want monies collected first or go and order now while monies are coming in.
