NS-10 & Toole Reg pcb distribution

I have become the local postman for the Australia & New Zealand members who have ordered the pcbs, to make it simpler for Denis - he'll send the bulk pcbs out to me and I'll just post them on.

We pay Dennis directly for them in the usual way, when it's set up, not me.

Can "Stoolpidgeon" and "TheSeeker" send me an email directly.

Thanks

James, for organising this, way down here in the deepest darkest part of the world..
Seems to be a few people messing around confriming orders, slowing things up. I'm sure with such huge interest in this thread, that orders for the boards could be placed. And the left overs would go pretty dam quickly.

sorry, just trying to be as polite as possible..

😉

:smash: :smash: :smash: Things to build, but no power...

Surface postal service

Hello,

I've been trying to sort out postage for
the various orders.

One thing that I forgot to ask in your
confirmation letters is whether you
want to ship by air or surface mail.

This isn't an issue for those in Canada
and the difference for members in the US
is not so big. For those in the rest of
the world, however, it can be substantial,
especially if you order more than 10
PCBs.

For you reference, the international
small packet prices are here:

http://www.canadapost.ca/tools/pg/prices/CPinter-e.asp#1414508

You can find your category code here:
http://canadapost.ca/tools/pg/manual/PGintdest-e.asp

For most of European, it's category 2.

For certain orders (say 14 boards), I've also
been calculating postage by splitting it into
two packages to lower shipping cost.

Please PM me if you want to use surface shipping.
Naturally this is a much slower option. I will
calculate using air packet rates unless told
otherwise.

Cheers,
Dennis

4 more boards

I would like to have 4 boards.

I just discovered this thread. So I will be busy for an hour or so reading all those posts before I know what tot do.
Not complaining, just explaining that I need another hour or so to complete the procedure.
Do not know what ns-10 is at this moment but probably need those too.

ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL,

The Toolereg team has decided to put this GB on HOLD for a very good reason and to the benefit of all who signed in for this shunt regulator boards.

Some time ago we have asked Jan Didden who is one of the more experienced member of DIYA regarding voltage regulators to review the technical aspect of this regulator and he has kindly accepted to do this on his own lab. To this end, Steen has kindly sent to Jan the compact prototypes for him to do this work and as far as we know Jan has already started to do so.

So the boards might need some layout changes derived from Jan’s work so this has been the reason to call this GB on HOLD for a while.

The technical discussion will be held on the original thread by Cetoole on the SS forum.

In the meanwhile you may continue to add boards to the Wiki.

The Toolereg Team, and if I may peak for all others on this thread, greatly appreciates Jan Didden’s good will to help us refine this excellent shunt regulator designed by Colin Toole,

Cheers,
