Does anyone know where I can buy a dozen or so of the 6 pin power connector as used on this PCB and pretty much every other class D board?
The connector is made by JST. The part number is JST-B06P-VL. I cannot find them from any and all sources that I could think of.
Anybody here have a good source? Or perhaps a stash they are willing to share?

Koifarm, thanks but ...
Unfortunately when I log into RS International from here in California, USA they show 'out of stock'.

How does the grounding work out for you? I made some hypex ucd 400 oem pcbs some years back and had some problems with noise. I used a single ground plane instead, joining all grounds, signal ground, power for both the "high" voltage and op amp power gnd, but perhaps it was problematic mixing all the grounds. Not sure.
And I was very careful that differential signal tracks closely followed each other as much as possible, with thin enough tracks its possible to go between the pins of the 1ET400 socket making them close all the way, reducing risk of picking up noise. Would be nice to see how its done on the EVAL1. Anyway good work!

I have read/learned never connect ground or - DC from the power supply of the hypex modules and purifi modules connect to the signal ground. On the modules the right path are connected.
Carl make a account at rs online nl or uk and then order. How many connectors do you need?

Considering the schematics from posting #1 it should be mentioned that the shown Op-Amp circiut is not a true single-ended to symmetrical converter, but only half of it. A full se-to-diff converter requires 3 or 4 opamps ("instrumentation amplifier"). Driven with a single-ended signal the not driven opamp will deliver less signal then the one with input signal resulting in asymmetrical driven power stages.
Otherwise when driven with a symm signal - you do not need this circuitry at all.

Hello Koifarm,
I tried your suggestion of creating a RS online account. However the website assumes UK addresses only and refuses my US details. I left them a message asking how I can going about making a purchase. I am looking for 10 pieces. We will see if RS UK is willing to sell them to me. Thank you for the suggestion.

Thank you for finding that Amplifier Dude. Did you notice the price? That 3 times what I am used to paying. Geez ....
Hello Carl,
we, my friends and I have listen the last months to all kinds of configurations possible with this board.
For unbalanced signals the gain is to low. For more gain lower R6 from 1k5 to 680.
First i have tested the onboard voltage regulator versus SMPS regulator. There was no difference in sound for me. And because i can not measure noise below -90db the results were the same.
Using several different opamps (LM4562, AD847, OPA627, Oraclell-02) and without opamp, my preamps have 8 and 10V output. I liked the "without opamp" the best.
So no more buying special opamps because i can hear the difference.
For my preamps, one has 6n6p tubes(THD=-60db) in the output the other is solid state(THD>-90db).
The solid state one i like the best. The tube one is also not bad but the sound is not as precisely as the solid state one.
So i ended up with no opamp and standard smps1200 opamp power supply.
This week i have designed a naked PCB(no opamps, no regulators). PCB is in production at JLCpcb.
Below some previews.

Thank you for the quick and detailed response. It's good to see your experiments continue.
I find it very interesting that you preferred no opamp in your listening tests. Please keep us informed as to your progress.

So KoiFarm,
Are you reworking tube version to use a different tube? Or are you abandoning tubes for this project?

Hello Carl_Huff,
at the moment i am listen to the no bufferboard.I like the sound, no noise/no distorsion at high volume/ great bass controll and clear hights. Driving the 1et400a with tubes at 10vrms needs about 5ma current. I have a 6n6p preamp who can drive the 2k inputload. Maybe a 6n3 will also do the job.

This weekend build a new tube buffer for driving the 1et400a amp.So KoiFarm,
Are you reworking tube version to use a different tube? Or are you abandoning tubes for this project?
It uses the 6N6P tube but also can adapt the ECC99.
It has a transformer input for unbalanced to balanced conversion. After that two mu-followers a channel do the amplification and can driver the 2k2 load of the 1et400a input.
I am using a HV smps as power supply. If i keep the smps i do not know yet. Next week i design a PCB for it.
