Hi stewin it's correct the resistor R8 10milliohms in the diagram? I think too low!
I think it's 10Megaohms or i'm doing an error?
Thanks for the answer

Thanks for this information Andrewlebon!
Can I use this amplifier with car speaker 2ohm 100w?
I've already made the step up converter 35V+35V @ 14,4V and 26V+26V @ 12, the famous project89 of Rod Elliot

Appropriate inductors
Hi All,
I've gotten quite intrigued by this thread - I've never built a class D amp and this seems like a pretty good way to learn about them.
I've started collecting components, but I don't adequately understand the requirements of the inductor.
Firstly - which is better getting a torroid of some description or a 'EE' style inductor and introducing an air gap by some means.
Secondly - what core color for a torroid is best? I don't understand what the color denotes, but I assume that it means the core materiel is different. I have no understanding of the differing materiels and their effects, and what is best. I'll be sourcing the torroids off ebay, so knowing what I should be looking for would help! Or can I just buy a particular inductance and current rating and go from there?
Cheers for any help folks!

Say, like the below?
2x T106-2 Micrometal Torroid Red 1.06" Dia Ham Radio | eBay
or
12 Pins Terminal EE Ferrite Magnetic Core Transformer Inductor ER2834 | eBay
or should I just buy something like this?
22 uH, 7 Amp, Vertical Toroid Inductor, 2105, Qty 4 | eBay
cheers!

wrong site adress
Hi
Diysmps site have error
I can not open that
try this one by Norazmi >>>>> diysmps
it works well with non UCD and UCD class Ds
Hi
Diysmps site have error
I can not open that
Thanks Stewin for the information, i'm going to work!!
Can I apply a balanced signal in the input or I have to build a special circuit to apply in the input?

If you have finall shematic or pcb for norazmi protection please share that in site
Thanksb

dear friend
your amp is so cool and so simple
this amp have good sound
this amp is best for my car
but it have a big vicnes
if output short then output mosfet was damage in afue micro secent
it realy need protection circut
this amp is compelet when have a good protection for protect it.
sory for my bad
you are one of the best my friend in net.
thanks for all thing you do for me and this good site.

guys
this amp not usefull without overcurent protection
how can i make a protection for it?
i have this circuit, that used in various amplifiers Class D, these circuit work with 200V from supply, but i have calculate the values from your necessity.
i hope thats this help you

can it be used in smps also.
Hi Hadighorbani, you can try this protection that has anti-bump and then controls the output in the speaker in case there is a DC voltage caused by the mosfet, the relay will trip and save the speakers from fault.
This circuit come from a magazine of electronics and this circuit is tested.
