these chips I had received yesterday.

8 pcs of the TDA1545a chips.

I prepare used for the cheap DAC, sorry not kit because it was funish & test already. But due to I must call my uncle's computor monther board factory to open the production line. The set up cost for 1 set & 1000 set was same. So I hope can accumulate more order to share the set up cost to maintain the 1545a dac in cheap price.
USD 120 was the estimate valve. Bu if we accumulate more orders, May be the price can lower!
Pls understand the posatge was USD 25 by EMS.
It means the DAC only USD 95 range. It must mass production for this price.

I will hand print the DAC first. Due to its a pure DC DAC. No power trans follow but battery box will follow with the dac.

I guess the group order we can call the factory try to matching chips to us. At least same date code. Because every DAC contain 8 pcs of 1545a, pls understand.

Also every kit will opinion with one pcs of the digital cable ( solid silver core ). I willnly collect back the basic price only.

Will be same use Nano-pulse trans, LT1033,1085. All the Chips as CS8414( with adapter ) to 8412 socket. 1545a & opamp ( standard will follow with AD797, all were fit with IC sockets. So diyers can one by one to added the 1545a to tunning the sound, change Op-amp too.

I GUESS THIS CHEAP PRICE MORE DIYERS WILL LOVE THEM.

PLS DON'T ASK FOR DISCOUNT. LESS THAN 5%~10% PROFIT IS NOT A BUSINESS. BUT MORE DIYERS AS 3rd COUNTRY CAN ENJOY TOO.

Is the impedance of the silver cable you are selling 75 ohms? It looks like normal ribbon cable made of silver, which usually has a higher impedance, which will cause reflections/jitter for SPDIF.

very thanks for your informations. This is a 75 ohm digital cable which use in the aerospace for digital signal transfer.

I order them from a factory which OEM for USA areospace transmittion signal wires.

I tested them already & send to several friends to test already too.

Both test good feedback & i compare to gotham professional silver digital cable will better than gotham with faster feeling.
Price was reasonable to me from this factory diyers. so I prepare promote to diyers.
Pls saw my this year project. all will very low profit.

as the 1545DAC. It can use USB or RCA input. use chips change back the digital signal from computor to I2S.

hope diyer will love them. In this cheap price level. I guessed that more diyers will love them more.

photos show was anothers heavy silver plated telfon stranger wire which will be a cheap good project for diy cables.

I offer to all diyers include two pairs silver link gold plated OFC RCA with 20m this heavy silver plated wire in USD 45 include postage worldwide.

Your wire does not have any shielding and as a ribbon is unlikely to be 75 ohms - as Elso says you need a coax. Just because it works when connected does not mean it is optimum (and silver is not necessarily better).

Can you explain how the ribbon cable is 75 ohms?

I have silver plated and find it bright, but would like to try solid silver for a pair of interconnects.

Hi ,
you need a properly terminated transmissian line. That is 75-Ohm coax terminated with 75-Ohm at both ends. And a 75-Ohm connector sytem (not RCA). See Horowitz.

For the hum reason, I will follow with new pcb which was new design tube buffer.

this means U will get total two tube buffer because some of the PCB had hum, some hadn't. I will post one new PCB to all buyer. if they had hum, they can use the new buffer. if not, they can use the Old one.

is it good ??

As far as I know only WBT offers RCA plugs that are 75 Ohms. These are expensive NextGen types though.

very thanks for your advise. I neglected that take more data for the cable & I only considerated tha the cable was for digital signal transmission. I will return the cable back into the factory to prevent the diyers unhappy.

I still testing the tube buffer PCB. One of the diyers told me that after He change the Power transformers. The Hum noise lose much. Do U had another power transformer to test for this.
The another tube PCB cab use back approx all the parts.

about the 75Ohm RCA. Look it was a expensive parts. I suggest bought themselves to diyer cable.

For te cable, its a heavy silver plated cable. Not silver core cable.

Hi Thomas,

I agree with Elso. 75 ohms is a must for a proper coaxial S/PDIF connection. I use Belden 1506A or 1695A with Canare 75ohm BNC connectors and receptacles (not the 50 ohm types widely used). If one must use RCA connectors for S/PDIF, I'd recommend Canare coaxial RCA connectors. Neutrik also has 75ohms BNC's (male and female) that are heavier duty (outer body is made out of stainless steal) than the Canare ones but more expensive as well. I haven't tried them so I can't comment on their sound.

Regarding the new DAC. I'm interested. Please count me in. How many and what kind of digital inputs will this DAC have? Does it includes a analog buffer stage?
And pleeease don't forget the TCXO and nano transformer for my twin DAC.

I haven't bought any Kit from you yet - so I cannot test. I would order when you already have the new Tube Output PCB w/out any of the Hum problems (rather than just low hum). I will wait for your update on this and the pictures.

USB to I2S for twin tda 1541a

Have just tried USB to I2S using PCM 2706 and a 12Mhz Tent Clock, driven by g4 powerbook.

Pulled R16 and R19 to disable CS input reciever.

The sound is amazing. Much better than VRDS transport - SPDIF - CS input reciever, never going back to SPDIF.

tube buffer that I have here is dead quiet, I wonder if you have earth loop ??
