I personally don't have a car yet... 😉 what would you reccomend for putting a horn loaded sub in?? lol
the current idea was to make a really quick sub box, stick it in the back of my friends mums van 🙂D) and see if we can turn heads.. lol so far we have had some success with my home speakers in the back running off my amp plugged into an inverter.. (lol) but the inverter was somewhat BAD, and just as you got into the bass, the overload protection would cut in, and shut the inverter down.. lol but we did turn some heads.... especially when we were crawling along at about 30ks an hour with the music still blasting from the car as the engine was somewhat overheating.. (mental note, a 2 litre Tarago van loud music, and 2 18 year old guys doesn't mix) ohh, and the fact that there was apparenty a split in the head gasket resulting in ALL the coolent being burned and steamed off in the engine probably didn't help too much.. 😀 what can I say... we couldn't hear the strange whining noise over the music... (the engine was proabably near to seizing.. but we won't tell anyone.. 😉) we looked at the temp guage.. and it was like, "WHERES THE NEEDLE!!!" oops.. like off the scale.. 🙄 but it was all fun.. 😀 sitting at the lights with something like "Hampster Dance" blasting from a van until the inverter cut out would have been quite amusing for the onlookers.. (and the people in the car next to us)

we did that too once,driving up a mountain,an old vauxhall or something,it always leaked oil,so we forgot to fill it up oneday,and it startd makn a funny noise , i guess the pistons welded to the engine block 😛

I really like cheap 8's cos I can get 16mm MDF for quite cheap.. (I think) and it would be funny as just having 2 8inch woofers..😀

It wasn't the sound system though. It was the exhaust.....
I went to get a new muffler one day and they didn't have any that would fit, it was long and round, then the guy spots this 24" Hot Dog and gets an evil grin on his face, about an hour later I had a new 1 and 3/4" exhaust system (with single hotdog for muffler) with an exhaust note that sounded like an exotic racing car, not to loud but absolutely magic.
I used to love chucking it back to second and flooring it, and then looking at the stunned looks on the peoples faces who had turned around to catch a glimpse of what the were expecting to be some exotic sports car 🙂

I could never work out that stupid program.. looks like you did though... any chance of getting it flat to 30Hz? 😉 I know its a longer horn... but I can handle that... lol
i dont reccomend 30hz for this,seems to need a longgg length..but it could be worked around.

well... I really just wanted to make a horn with a cheap but decent 8inch driver out of some "scrap" 16mm MDF...
id use 25mm MDF
high SPL + 16mm MDF=
resonance. could make the horn sound bad cos it has long dimensions.
30hz horn is probably400Litres.
40hz horn is about 150-250Litres(for my horns),so u can see why i like the 40hz ones.

but I can get 16mm for dirt cheap... 25mm costs money... I could do double 16mm.. lol
