Dual Mono Width
Thinking we should make it 480mm wide, to allow plenty of room for a dual mono build.
It will also be more proportionally pleasant looking.

The 480 mm width perhaps has some positive qualities.
It would also eliminate compatibility with the deluxe front and rear panels with pre-drilled holes, plus the standard top and bottom plates. I don't think it would improve the heat dissipation capacity very much.
On the balance, I don't see the extra width as being worth the cost / hassle.

I'm out except unless it's "standard" width for the reasons listed above by TA. I like to mix and match.
Hi Pico, please count me out of the special order. The 3U x 500 now proposed for the Store is what I really wanted. Many thanks however for kicking this off and the results achieved with Jason and Gianluca. Appreciate it.

Sadly me too. I am ok with standard options in the store. Happy to drill and tap holes to suite the build.. dB
Kind of seems this could be a huge waste of my time.
Maybe I should end it here.
At the end of the day someone else is actually going to profit from it.

Hey Pico, in the Pass labs forum in the second column where it shows the last person who posted to a thread, left click on "2 picoDumbs" and see where it takes you.

Ok. I just did it.
Hahahahaha
See now, you should be happy since you are both Pico and Jason you can't loose on how the chassis are made.
I'm losing the track. Sounds like something is coming to the store. I sure would like to see the 4U 500mm Deluxe option with the fill length drilled base plate. Bill
Hi pico, this is all starting to get messy, will you carry on or will the store eventually have it - you need to sort it out with Jason, so all who have showed interest in the enclosure you first mentioned, know where they currently stand.
I agree.
I really have no idea, at this moment.
I guess I just need to know how many people are actually interested in building something that is close to perfect as possible or whether they're happy with something that is off the shelf.
I guess I could do it myself and get it made using Australian companies.

I think I would need at least 10 people that are interested.
I was kind of hoping we could work through this together as a group so that we cover all bases, and everyone felt their needs were taken care of, or at the very least people felt happy with any compromises that might be necessary.
