They're not all for me!!! I'm going to use four and a colleague at work will be building with the remainder.
Myamplifiers will do double duty - i'm going to build four monoblocks to drive my B&W Matrix speakers (i have an active x-over on these).
Afterwards i'm going to finally get around to building four BJT class-A amplifiers (designed by Geoff Moss) - whichever i like best stays on the B&W's, otherwise they go on an AV system for my home cinema.

Sounds like a nice setup. I'm in the middle of designing a 3way active crossover. I'm trying to decide whether to do it in the digital domain, or analogue domain. I'm heading towards analogue, because it won't ruin the good work of the P-1A, P-3A.
My choices are automating the Pass Labs Xover.

I don't have the technical know-how to put together an active X-O that would sound better than what B&W shipped from the factory (either analogue or digital).
My speakers went back to the research labs in Steyning and a prototype X-O for the B&W silver signatures was modified for use with my matrix speakers - then the whole lot went into the anechoic chamber for testing/plots, etc.
I was very pleased with the results and reckon i probably have the best sounding matrix 804's around.
There was a DSP based listening room optimiser there that one of the electronics engineers showed me during one of my visits - it basically sat between the CD player and DAC. You defined a "sweet spot" 1 metre cube around you using a calibrated microphone and it worked out all the digital filtering required to make things as perfect as it could - i recall that they had software problems (it was none to stable and every so often inexplicably crashed (but hey, we tolerate windows don't we??)). I dont know if it ever went into production, but newer DSP devices would already have superceded anything it was capable of.

Hi, the plan is to go for 19V rails with around 6A bias to give about 70W into a four or eight ohm load and a peak of around 100W at about six ohms. But this may change slightly, as I will be running a CRC filter and may decide to drop a little more of the voltage to give slightly lower rails and better spply filtering.

Jon, I take it you still wan those anti-statick bags for the order right? if you need them in a hurry let me know and I will try and get them to you as soon as I can, but if not the stuff for the rectifiers should be going out any day now once the rest of the parts arive.
