UGS Power : it's U.P.

..update:

it's ok François i checked the HCFR forum and put myself on the list there.

If a GB is created here i can always transfer my request to this one.

😉

My UGS preamp is going to have a gorgeous business end !!!

Thanks for outstanding work and generosity.

Yeah thanks, personally I can't see what was wrong with the old ones🙂

Does any one know if its been offered here on diyaudio? If not does anyone have a link on the french forum, I hope with a bit of Babelfish action I might be able to place an order and hope no one asks any questions in french🙂

Hi all,

Some minor changes, mainly on the softstart board, to avoid potential problems with heated resistors on faultly reset due to µcuts on mains (lightning induced effects) 🙁 All is safe now 😉

Cheff, Ive ordered the pcbs from the the french groupbuy.
I have a couple of Antek 400VA 20V torroids and Im simulating in duncans psu designer what the voltage will be. It seems that I may get close to 50 V on the voltage doubler end of things. Should I use 63V caps or will it be safe?

Luke,

I was just asking since the output voltage is lowered when the doubler is loaded :
From my 18V trafo, I measure 50V on the doubler unloaded, and 36/37V when loaded.
Thus, for your 20V AC input, it should give around a theoretical 55V (20xswrt(2)x2-Vdiodes) unloaded, so I think you should be safe, but try a sim with a loading resistor in order to draw 60mA.
And prepare to be surprised by the ripple 🙂
