An advanced civilization capable of interstellar travel most certainly isn't going to bother with using hydrocarbon combustion to propel a spacecraft.
That's like any of us trying to fix a computer with a flint spear-point...

Flavious Maximus said "societies that have flourished and been successful". I'm speculating that he was referring to societies of the past but wanted to confirm.

British, French and Spanish colonialism in the past has lead to us (of European decent) being here in North America now.

I live in the city and my friend lives on the reserve. The successful society I live in exists here because it ground the one that preceded it, into the dust. It's difficult to talk about what's happening now without drifting into politics but I think it's safe to say that I don't think much has changed.

So I'm thinking of the past and the present.

If societies had to be changed to continue existing, then the pre-changed society isn't considered successful, no? I'm just being picky about the definition.

Should we consider dark grey plume and white plume the same thing? Just thinking out loud. :scratch2:

It seems to comport with the spreading vapor trail of a high-altitude and climbing jetliner, facing toward the viewer. Whatever it is, it does not look like any sort of UFO craft to me. What does remain implausibly explained is the really weird way the entire structure appears to rapidly swing from one side to the other, with the point of the structure (where the plane would be) swinging the farthest. Odd, even for a UFO video.
