If you don't have time to try this, its your wish.
Pointless to try an unknown circuit, without predicted result.
Yes the working is based on leakage inductance + saturation of core, no doubt on that.
Then it can be done easier. Needless to deal with the whole voltage of inductor, the leakage can be sensed alone, with lower number of turns.
Workhorse, then your idea should be used with iron-powder cores, while these have continous saturation (gapped ferrites sature steeply at one point).
So treshold could be set by the saturation of the core.
I will try this method, but so far I would stick to my current-transformer idea, due to more predictable result.

Hello,
I was reading some previous discussions. Most of us do not have proper instrument to measure Inductance of coil. Well, I use Arta for inductance measurement. Hope most of us have used LIMP (which is a part of ARTA) tool before to measure TS of drivers. The very same LIMP can do the job for us.
If you want me to post how to do it, I would create a document and post here for you. Pl let me know.

Hello,

I meant we most are not able to measure exact inductance of coil made, because we being hobbyist do not have and cant afford to have complete range of test ans measuring instruments.

I am already using it on T200-6 from microtmetals distributed air gap iron-powder core.
A link for software tool to design toroidal coil inductor

if any one of you is already using this let me know.

Kanvar, what's good about -6 material?
To me it looks like way too low Al with very low HF losses. That so close to air in comparison with "proper" power materials.

It doesn't exhibit steep saturation curve like Ferrites do.......I have found it good for Class-D output inductor mainly in high current applications.
Thanks
In your experience how does it compare to sendust or hi-flux or MPP?
I have checked sendust with 60u[initial perm] it takes less turns for same value of inductance and also exhibit softer saturation curve but its very expensive than same size micrometal.
Gapped ferrites also work but they heat up alot , whereas these cores have negligible core loss and only loss is copper loss associated with them.
Hi to all
Does anyone know substitute for optocopuler sfh610A-1, I need for overcurent protection from NMOS schematic. I found somethink like LTV817 or PC817 but pins are different (E and C of transistor). Can anyone help me out?
Thank you
Regards, Nikola

Did someone make Overcurent protection and tested? Does anyone have to offer good schematic
Thank you
Thank you
Hi everyone,
Am not a fan of class d but i thought of reading through this thread to find out builders' experience.I kinda stumbled upon this:DIY 1000 Watt High End Mosfet Power Amp Circuits | Digital Technology News and Review and thought i could share with you.Maybe its already somewhere in this thread i,don't know.
Regards.

Which inductor do you select in mouser.cor /digikey for the amp.??
It must be something like this. The current bear the inductor must be commensurate with the output peaks.

Comrades, here are some pictures of a couple of UCD's. The sources are 55V and 48V. Excellent sound and clean. Barely perceptible warming and controlled by a fan. This assembly is to be disposed, in order to accommodate a Rectified 85V transformer from an old Peavey's CS800 for a couple of UCD's of 400-500W output.

Greetings!

This is exactly what the thread is about.
97% efficiency is false, and High-End is something completely different.

Hey tacatamon.
I know about them , you showed them to me 😛 . ty again
I was looking for in digikey to get more options, meanwhile I'm still waiting for my pcbs😀
