UK? As it’s unregulated just check the voltages (such as the heaters). UK mains 230Vac +/-10%, mine is normally 245Vac so worth checking the knock on impact.

The first step is to decide what you final goal is for presentation. Will the tubes be on top of a plate, and transformers on top, like the classic amps?
The quality you are aiming for will influence transformer choices. To make something that is presentable, and safe, is the main part of the effort in the build.
Many have used Toroidy transformers, which are a great price for the quality, but to make them presentable they really need to be the potted versions, which add a big chunk to the price.

The schematic in post #9 is correct. The original was lost back in 2009 when my computer crashed, and the web site was hacked within a few weeks of moving it to a new hosting company. The web site was restored from a backup that was made before the SPP was launched.

I know that feeling.. mouser transformer backordered since 20th.. so much for quoted 10 days backorder time. Even the 3 weeks backorder time now showing has expired.
@calpe when you order check the the stock isn't in single digits and it pays to order one or two more in case you pop/burn any (less likely if it's a known design with known components). Don't forget the load resistors to load up the output transformers without speakers 🙂
