Consider the 2020 an appertizer and the 3020 the main course. The 2020 gives you a basic feel of the class-t technologys key features (warmth, black background, great imaging etc.), but the 3020 is way better in all those categories and adds even more like better dynamics due to its more "grown" dimensions and output.

Power Supply?

Hi,

Its still not clear to me what the power supply requirements are for this board.

30 - 60V DC. Positive and negative rails or just positive?

How much current does the transformer need to provide?

Which power supply board on the connexelectronic.com site is suitable?

Thanks.

in the amplifier manual is explained very clear the power supply value, and many other details.
" The power supply requirement for the TA3020 Audio Amplifier Module is from +/- 40V DC at minimum 4A for an Output Power of 2x140W at 4Ù, 75W at 8Ù to +/- 60V DC at minimum 6A for and Output Power of 2x300W at 4Ù, 160W at 8Ù symmetrical supply with a filtering capacitance of at least 15mF for each rail. To ensure the Output Power levels and performances, the power supply voltage should not drop more than 5-10% at maximum power. Note that for bridge mode is recommended to provide a current of at least 6A for +/- 40V DC supply or 10A for +/- 60V DC supply, as well as the filtering capacitance of at least 22mF for each rail. A good match would be the PS10K80 power supply board or SMPS 2-60V10A. "

send me an e-mail request and i will send you the manual to take a look.

Hi cnx,

I just paid you via Paypal for:

TA3020

Due to personal resons i have stopped cooperating with Crisy.

i dont want to bother his business and i do not like mudfights so i will not disclose why this has occured.

Meanwhile im working on new designs and i will have some new PCB's out soon. im expecting 3 new boards back from the PCB factory on saterday that i will then test.

I have purchased allot of equipment these days and im prepairing to make my own little lab for fiddling around and designing. Also im working on valve amps at the moment and valve pre amps. ive recently bought a 2 channel THD meter and storage scope, audio signal generator and lots more to be able to test the products i want to make.

Also i have a good friend here that used to work for siemens, he is a retired engineer and he is teaching me how to design valve amps. all together good fun! and ill show more when ive got more to show!

Greetings,

Arjen

I assume that you speak about me, although that is not my name.
Don't just throw half sentences without sense. why don't you tell to everybody the reason ? that i was too greedy to give you the boards for less than half of the selling price which was 2/3 rd of my cost ?
u said that you want to buy 10 TA3020 amps, u sold them before they were even made, and after i made them u just vanished. after a while u ask that girl to come to pickup them, no words about money, cost or anything else. you gave me some parts for that boards, which they didn't even cover my cost, nothing else. why u didn't pick-up your boards when i offered you. i could even wait for money. don't forget about that pcb which u ask me to make and after i sent to factory i had to cancel-it because u never said nothing about it, and i still had to pay the set-up for that. eventually, i gave you the option to choose, to pay you the money for all the parts which you gave me, or to give you the boards. and after i gave you the boards you still complain that they were too expensive ???? why ? u could not get at least 50 euro profit for one board as u plan ? is good that i spent more than i got for those boards. think from my side as well.

nor the equipment (which u should have had before starting selling the boards) or the friends, can replace the theoretical knowledge and the experience which you need in this field. after u will spend some years in the university and some other years in front of the computer with mouse in one hand and solder iron in the other, maybe you will gain this. faster and more efficient than going out, having a beer with some "friends".

so, please continue selling those 50 RMB boards and do not mix-up in the other's bussiness.

so, please edit your post, and i will also edit mine.

Good luck.

CNX

so, thats the reson why i no longer cooperate with cristy.

anyone reading his post can understand that there are some frictions between us.

i do not want to further discuss those.

however i do not feel the need to remove any posts as i have not been unfriendly to anyone and will keep my own manners.

All i will do is try to make some nice things, and from now on i will only respont to any topics rat are related to DIY audio, if it is not related then please ask me directly, ofcource ill answer.

i must say i am dissapointed to see such posts. DIY audio is not ment for this and it lowers the level.

So i suggest we go back to the topic, as soon as my new boards are done i wil show the results.

Greetings to all,

Arjen

I am very happy with the TA3020 board I bought from CNX and for $84.99 the price was good, there was a bit extra with some tax and postage but then CNX gave me a free TA2022 board to cover the tax cost.

If I do a conversion to Euro the cost of the CNX TA3020 board works out at around EUR67.45. Originally, when I was first interested in the TA3020 board Arjen, who I thought was the designer was asking EUR117 which is almost twice the cost. His excuse was "where it comes to pricing, yes 117 Euro is allot, but its also allot of time and money that go's in to these projects". Now I find out that he wasn't even designing them, just buying them from CNX and selling for double the price :whazzat:

I'm glad someone pointed me at the CNX website.
