TPA3255 Reference Design Class D Amp GB

Thanks for the advice and the video, much appreciated🙂

When I first read it I was thinking maybe it was more than I wanted to attempt but after watching the video I am confident I can do it just fine. I was building 1/24 scale model cars with fuel, brake and spark plug lines then moved on to building very fast slot cat motors at a very young age and years later fly tying where fly fishing shops tried to hire me to tie for them so this would be another challenge to learn more from.

Now I have to decide if I want such a challenge, pretty sure I do, will contemplate it a bit further and let you know but pretty darn sure I want to go ahead with it.

Thanks again!

OK, I have had time to think this through a bit more and really want to have two of these great amp boards but not likely to be able to work on them for quite some time and having health issues making it hard to determine when I could get to them......If they were to become available again already built that would be much better for me and not having to buy gear I might not get much more use out of.

That said, anybody here interested in building a pair of these I would greatly appreciate talking it over with you.

It would be great to have this done but even if not I might still just buy the bare boards and have them here in case I just have to dig into doing another project I have never done before, been my lifelong way of being and loved it so far.

Let me know if interested, please.

Thanks,
Rick

@RAAM ; A friend of mine who has SMD experience is going to stuff my boards for me. I suspect he would be happy to do yours as well. His charges are very reasonable. The only snag is that he is in Romania, but I don’t think shipping the stuffed boards back to you would be too expensive. We could also share the shipping to him from XRK. Let me know if interested.

I have XRK's consent to post the following in this thread.

This is for anyone who would be interested in having their boards stuffed by someone who is experienced in trickier SMD work. Please see what I previously posted in response to another member's request.

Well the friend who I referred to in that post would be happy to also stuff the boards of others who might be interested in that. His charges are very reasonable and he has said if there was enough interest to do 10 boards then he would be able to even reduce the price a bit.

For anyone else in the UK like myself, note that there is a cheap Romanian courier service that operates every week between Romania and the UK; they drive across in a large van and somehow manage to not pay import taxes. We could share this courier cost to make it even cheaper.

Anyone interested in discussing this further please DM me so as to not pollute this thread.

Maybe I will buy 4 and hold onto the spare 2 boards for later use or if somebody comes along and needs them.

I have a lot of other priorities for all my funds and will for some time to come but want to see this go through and it is not that much money to get this going.
