YJ green "audiobah" clone is more expensive than the "audiobah" when bought from Taobao. So only on Ebay the clone is cheaper, or in different words, Brasilian ebayseller Audiobah sells chinese ampboards with more profit than others.
Ebay "freeshipping" YJgreenclone is at least $6.70 above chinese price, Brasilian seller audiobah adds $21.67 to sellingprice and not only that, read fora for delivery times and you get picture he doesn't check Ebay that often 😀 As a result his offers sometimes are missing too 🙂
Audiobah is a Brasialian Ebay seller selling the Advance Controls AC1308.

I can't seem to find AC1308 on Aliexpress. I like buying there as I have an account setup already.
While browsing, I found another Sanwu, this time a 3116 stereo with Bluetooth 4.0 built-in for only $13.
A very good price, and if we can expect similar construction details as the Sanwu Blue PBTL 3118, this should be a nice board.

The core of a BT wireless speaker system for $13 is an amazing price. You can have a lot of fun with this guy. It even looks like it has track select, play/pause, stop, and even works as a hands free speakerphone with built in mic.

I have the original Audiobah green board and the cheaper clone and while the on/off pop is hardly audible so is the even cheaper dual chip pictured below which sounds the best of all my boards.

Poultrygeist,
Have you tried the dual chip board with a SMPS ?
I'm trying to get another system going - but am reluctant to fork out for another linear supply... :-(
Have you tried the dual chip relative to the Blue / black board ?
Thanks..

Preamps, etc.
Hi,
Pity that no one answered your question! I will do my best.
Yes, as with any straight power amplifier, you do have to control the volume somehow. You can do that with an external preamp, or just rig up a volume potentiometer.
I use one of these which is very easy to assemble. Especially if you only use one source or input.

I've had very good luck with this two tube Guanzo/Sain Smart one, and it's really inexpensive. The tubes last forever and are easily available. Despite some naysayers on forums I think it sounds excellent.
Like any other amp and preamp situation, you would attach/connect this with RCA cables to the INPUT of each channel of the amplifier.
I'd be happy to help you if you need it.

I always try to do some research before asking questions so forgive me if there is a thread somewhere I'm missing but what sort of preamp are most people using with these small amps or mutli amp active setups in general? I mean we have to adjust the volume somehow right?

Here's a picture of a marriage made in heaven - the Guanzo/Sain Smart paired with the dual chip/Astron. The Sain Smart is a giant killer ( $37 from Amazon ).

I prefer an inexpensive regulated PS like the Pyramid PS-3KX which cost under $30 to any of the SMPS I own. Since I discovered the dual chip my blue/black, Sure and Audiobah sit unused in a closet.

Thanks for the heads up Poultrygeist... Looks like i've gotta fork out to try the dual chip board.
What does this dual chip board look like?
Take two Sanwu Blue PBTL's and you have a dual chip board for $14 to $18. 🙂

The heart of this bookshelf system is a dual chip/Astron and Sain Smart 6n3 preamp driving Fostex full range single drivers with a Yung SD300 plate amp powering two bucket subs. This inexpensive and mostly DIY system outclassed the Classe powered Aerial Model 5's that I previously owned.

I got my tiny DC 12V 24V TPA3116 Digital Power Amplifier Board Mono 100W for Car Motorcycle | eBay today.
It is so small!
I didnt have time to test it properly, I just test if it works, and it does.
I can confirm that this board has a big pop when powered on and off, so I might need to use the mute/stand by function, if I figure it out.
The thing that I realy dont like about it is the minuscule power and speaker connections.
They are small and close toghether. I dont know how they let full specified current go through.
The inductors are not those pictured, they are much smaller.

Taobao ad shows two versions, two different prices too. Not only inductors differ between the two, also more filmcaps on the other ampboard I believe.
I recall reading about that subwoofer... That setup looks good!
Thanks. Here's the link to the amazing bucket subs.
