One quick question.
I'm assuming that I rotate the pipe 180-11° after each cut. I should ALWAYS rotate it -11°, right?
That's for one enclosure. For the mirror enclosure, should I then rotate +11°?

ok... I'm not sure that I got this right.. but I think this will work.. rather than cutting and twisting 11 degrees for the next cut.. You could make your cut at 5.5 degrees for each side.. (assuming that were not to late). The jig that I suggested is designed to provide a 22 degree angled cut.. rather than making a vertical cut.. make a cut at 5.5 degrees. this will make a compound cut.. resulting in symetrical pieces which ought to work for both left and right speakers.. again.. I ain't positive.. but I think its worth a try.
well, look at it this way: rotate it the same way every time for one enclosure, then rotate it the opposite way every time for the other one.
in other words: all the pieces should look exactly the same for one enclosure, and should look just the opposite for the other one.

If I'm right about the nature of that compound cut ...( big if ) you should be able to rotate plus or minus 11 degrees for your right and left speaker.. I too, am havig difficulty visualizing this cut... seems like it should be simple.. but it twist my brain in a weird way.

upside down will not make it opposite.
print out my diagram and turn it upside down...see if it doesn't spiral the same direction.

When you rotate the piece, the long side is now on your left. Are we together so far?
Then, the mark for you to cut 11° should be on the right of the centerline. 5/8" on the right of the centerline, as you look at the pipe.

Your pictures look like the duds I cut (duds ccos they were poorly cut, not because they're wrong), so I'd say we're on the same page.

What if each -11° turn actually produces the mirror piece? In other words, every other piece cut produces a segment for its respective enclosure.
The corollary would be that I should actually alternate the 11° + and - with each segment.
Yup. That's it. I tried to test it on a toilet paper roll, but it won't cut as well as PVC! It smooshes down! Grr....

I still think that if you make the 5.5 degree cut to both sides of the segment you'll be able to rotate plus or minus 11 degrees.. allowing you to spiral up in either a left or right direction. but like I said.. I could be wrong.
Alternate + 11° and -11°? I don't think that is a good idea. I would cut them all one way and see about mirror imaging.
Actually, now that I think about it, the way to do it is to reverse the position of the green line-put it on the left of the centerline for the second speaker. However, I would cut them all one way for the first speaker first.
