Hi Veereshai,
Your cabinets turned out phenomenally nice, also lessons learned from my build and custom jigs now make your set very clean and uniform - even better. 🙂
Have fun installing the drivers and crossover!
Looking forward to someone besides me hearing these for the first time. You are in for a real treat.

They are absolutely phantastic! Please ignore the mess, I have to store the speakers in the basement for now as I have an event at the home next weekend. But, the finish is lovely on these cabinets, he's indeed a master craftsman (thanks for the recommendation again, X!). I am still deciding on which way to go for the finish.. thinking about Watco danish oil or monocoat. Anyway, here are some photos for now:

EDIT: The photos and the light really don't do justice to how good they look and feel in person.
My biggest problem is to find a craftsman who is ready to do this job... they are simply not interested...
I can't wait for some impressions from others.
X, how did your business associates like the XSD? I think you mentioned shipping them out for them to hear, right?

Unfortunately, the shipping service damaged the speaker and broke the cast aluminum frame on the PRV midrange driver. We had to order replacements and fix damage to the wings. Reassembling and testing things now. I packed it quite well but looks like it was dropped.
what radius or router bit diam. are you guys using for the round corners of the waveguide ? R = 6mm is my guess ?
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that 😕Unfortunately, the shipping service damaged the speaker and broke the cast aluminum frame on the PRV midrange driver. We had to order replacements and fix damage to the wings. Reassembling and testing things now. I packed it quite well but looks like it was dropped.
They broke the PRV frame?? They must have seriously abused it. Hopefully the shipping company reimbursed you
Ah makes sense. Well at least now you know to add extra packing material around the PRV for the commercial speakerI suspect that the weight of the magnet motor assembly cantilevered off the bezel broke the frame when the speaker was dropped on its base. There was no direct impact to the driver itself.
Lucky you!Just visited one of my clients today, a communal service facility, and they will make two fronts with all the cutouts for me 🙂
I'm delighted.
X, sorry to read the damage 🙁
That hurts... they must make a reimbursement!Great news Plott!
Here is the sad sad photo of the cracked cast aluminum frame.

Holy crap! Looks like they hit it with a heavy dead blow mallet. Shipping can be so iffy, I hope it was insured.
Look fantastic as always, will this cabinet maker be doing the commercial product as well?
Curious, is the member picking them up or are they being shipped?

This is a local cabinet maker and he’s making these one at a time for DIY’ers. Production will be using a CNC machine in a factory. If you are interested, now is the time to ask as he has jigs all setup. (I don’t receive anything for these cabinet builds - I just want to help folks get the XSD into their homes.)
I don’t know tbe details about the transport/shopping.

I'm the lucky member who will be using those cabinets. I'm picking them up in person. It's not an overly long drive for me, and the cabinet maker has kindly offered to meet me part way. By the by, the cabinet maker is very helpful and informative, as well as being very skilled.
I would be interested. What does pricing look like? This is a local cabinet maker and he’s making these one at a time for DIY’ers. Production will be using a CNC machine in a factory. Do you know if he could make it into a flatpack? Or otherwise, do you know if he would sell the front baffles alone?I would be interested. What does pricing look like?
