The Well Tempered Master Clock - Group buy

BTW, want to say that the things I have reported about Andrea Lite Series products are examples of some types of things that the Lite Series was intended to expose and learn from. It was always expected that things would be discovered and learned along the way that would lead to the final Sonic Empire Series of products being clearly superior to the Lite series. I hope I have contributed in a positive way to finding issues Andrea and Roberto would consider to be better discovered now rather than later. Its only because of Andrea's ongoing illness that I feel a need at this time to share publicly things I had hoped could be quietly fixed in the next round of designs. I still feel like Andrea is a friend and I wish him the best.

Regarding the reasons for his getting banned, we cannot discuss that here in the forum.

Regarding his products, I think they were second to none yet still not quite as good as it was hoped the Sonic Empire versions would be. In the meantime, MarcelvdG's RTZ dac has been found to be capable of exceeding Andrea's foray into DSD dacs. Also, Acko clocks have surpassed Andrea's DRIXO clocks when low phase noise is needed without use of doublers. In addition, I found some problems with Lite Series products involving ferrites in the power filters (including for dac boards, the FIFO board, and Squaring boards). The ferrite problem has been fixed in the field by a few people by doing a simple modification, and it has been found to produce audible improvements. There was a different SQ mod done to the DSD dac boards which might also help the multibit Dac_Lite. I could say more on the subject of mods if anyone wants to know (via PM would be fine).

Basically, the above observations only mean that advancements in digital audio continue. Eventually and over time, the people in the lead are going to keep changing. For folks still wanting the best available today, maybe worth taking a look.

Also, if any more news about Andrea, I will share what I can.
