Six years ago today it was 90°F or 32°C here, today just 50°F or 10°C which is well below normal for this time of the year, and it's very wet..
What you need Cal is a shower head a length of copper pipe a few elbows a garden hose and a shut off, mount this over your favorite outdoor lounger and you are set.
Oh ya a small umbrella to stick in your beer.
With you right up to the umbrella in the drink - while I'll cop to having done that as a youth, it's not something I can ever imagine Cal would admit to.
A nice cool 27C "official" here today, but much higher on many sheltered sundecks to be sure.
Blub blub
L'eau natu-Cal ?
(almost sounds like the latest yuppie spring water brand in town, of which the origin of the bubbles are an extremely protected company trade secret)
Ya know Paul, when we were working out of town, living in a camper unit whilst building some rich guys house, our shower was just that. About a hundred feet of copper hose and all the plumbing necessary for a makeshift shower. End of the day, throw the coil into the campfire and use the valve to regulate the temp. The footboard was nothing more than a wood pallet, and the curtain...well there was no curtain, the shower was behind a huge cedar and no one on site cared to look in that direction. What you need Cal is a shower head a length of copper pipe a few elbows a garden hose and a shut off
Hopefully.
ok, this is getting creepy. Some nasty dark clouds came in close to sundown and started dropping these hard little white things that look a whole lot like ice. Really took away from my overnight sleeping quarters.

Same thing here. Thought we were going to get a thunder storm for a while, but nothing has materialized.
The stuff falling from the sky is most likely some kind of Birch seed. We have them falling here as well.

I think you're right but I didn't know Birch seeds melted when they hit you. Thankfully it's stopped now so I can squeegee the deck and put the mattress back down. The stuff falling from the sky is most likely some kind of Birch seed
With that slightly botanical aftertaste, I'm thinking Bombay Sapphire East gin
Might be too early for that - wait, it's always 5PM somewhere

I checked in three matress nights on the livingroom floor so far.
Didn't realise I was already in such an advanced prelude stage of an official separation.
(the worst part is getting up for a bathroom checkup, to discover an adult dog both on the matress and my pillow on the return)

still getting an inordinate amount of pollen in our neck of the woods; much smaller than seeds - I think those will follow in a few more weeks - and sticky enough that a simple dry wipe isn't enough
oh, the weather - an unseasonably normal day today it looks like, even some sprinkles this morning
It's the middle of May......why then did it take me 10 minutes to scrape the ice from my car windows this morning?
You have it worse than here, we had flakes of snow falling yesterday. Cold north wind again, polar vortex scene. Can't remember it ever snowing on my birthday 🙂
Today is nice and sunny but it is still cold out, heat is back on again.

Thx Cal,
Funny how you said you were making your own clamato juice and I heard later on the radio we have a clamato day coming up 🙂 That is a new one for me.
Does Motto's have the market locked up?

Yes, it was 30F (-1C) at 7AM when I set out for the gym. The windows on my wife's (white) car were still iced over when I got back at about 8:30 AM.
By lunch time I was mowing the lawn in shorts and a tank top, maybe 55F (13C) and sunny.
TBH, the one from President's Choice is the best commercial one for me. I'm not saying everyone will like mine more but to me, it's heads and tails above the commercial ones and way better than I had done in the past. If you drink it straight, maybe you like Mott's, if you mix it, no chance theirs holds a candle. Half the price and double the reward.Does Motto's have the market locked up?
Clamato day? Count me in. 🙂
That's just dumb.Yes, it was 30F (-1C) at 7AM
Uh, sorry George.
