The Weather

My #1 domicile is on the banks of Lake Erie...if it's not grey and overcast in the winter I get depressed. Cost of living in OH is 1/4 less than NJ and we have a world-class symphony but no Taylor Ham.
Wednesday on the south shore of Lake Erie, it was 70°F (21°C) breezy and a world-class symphony orchestra. (I went inline skating along the Toe Path. Thursday it may be warmer but with lots of rain. Maybe more snow before the baseball opening day Monday.

This morning I waited in line to enter a charity event held inside an old prison (no view of the outside world). It was cool (about 55F) and windy. We walked outside the event just after 7 PM this evening to find some cold wet snow falling on our heads. We ran two blocks to the parked car to see 33 F on the thermometer. It's expected to snow on and off most of the night reaching 25 degrees F......I thought this stuff was gone for the year.

This morning's surprise.

No, you are looking at this mornings picture.......that's old news. This afternoon I ate my lunch out on the patio....dressed in my usual attire, a pair of shorts. This is what it looks like now. My friend who lives under my trailer came to visit. Temp is 46 degrees F (7.8C).

I always wanted to live someplace like that.

I spent my first 61 years in the middle of the concrete jungle. Somewhere between 6 and 7 million people when I left. People where I left, and where I came to, think I am nuts for moving, but everybody complains about the problems in both places.......As of now (been here 2 years) I wouldn't go back.

Even love that cat ! .......Just noticed he has a collar !

She was a stray that really didn't like me when I came. She would disappear when I showed up, since I usually came with loud machinery and messed with her territory. First I wiped out the jungle where she roamed and planted grass, then I tore down the house that she lived under, and built a new one with a basement that she can't get under. The neighbor and I captured her and had her spayed and tattooed after her first litter of kittens were mostly killed by cars or predatory animals (probably raccoons). The collar and ear tattoo allow for her return if she winds up in one of the neighbors traps. Now she comes running on command since I often give her something to eat.

Today is opening day of the baseball season.

I heard talk of postponing that game on TV last week, but I guess it is still scheduled. Indians / Red Sox 4:10 PM Rain here should end around 2PM, but you guys are closer to the center of circulation.
