Sledding off your roof top looks like a decent backwashing.
First proper day of snow ( Saturday ) still mild in comparison to the North American experience! ( Temp: -1 to +1°C or 30.2°F to 33.8°F )

Could it be snow?
Maybe someone snuffed Santa Coke.
Could have been the Princes of the Pure-See cartel : Cash-Bar, that dealing rapper Mel Kilo, and 8-Ball Tha Czar.
Enjoying a bowl of Kaschi on the lanai after an early morning stroll along the beach. Surf has been a little high over the past two days so it limits the bodysurfing but that allows time for exploring. Yesterday was halfway up Haleakala. Nice houses, nice views and of course a smile on every face.
Cal - have you done sunrise from the top yet? An almost literally out of this world view - pack a sweater

We got a similar warning last night. It expired today at 2PM, but it is still cold and windy.
This morning the thermometer read 4F (-15C) there was a fairly strong wind resulting in a reported -10F (-24C) wind chill. By noon it was up to 10F (-12C) but the wind was much worse, so I decided that the rest of the day would be spent down in the basement with a hot soldering iron.
Similar weather is expected for the next two days, followed by snow on Thursday and Friday......
OH, wait....I just got another warning on my computer....
... WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 11 AM EST TUESDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A WIND CHILL ADVISORY... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 11 AM EST TUESDAY.
* WIND... WEST 5 TO 10 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 MPH.
* TEMPERATURE... 3 TO 9 ABOVE.
* WIND CHILL... AS LOW AS 13 BELOW DUE TO TEMPERATURES 3 TO 9 ABOVE.
* IMPACTS... FROST BITE AND HYPOTHERMIA ARE POSSIBLE IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.

I read an article about a candy company that told their sales staff that if they made their numbers, the sales meeting would be in Hawaii, if not, Fargo. Guess where they had the meeting?
Hey Chris,
I haven't been up for the Haleakala sunrise for quite a number of years and there are no immediate plans. I kinda like the fact there's no alarm clock beside the bed. 😉
The weather is here, wish you were beautiful.
