It was as high as 20°C (68°F) in parts of Scotland the other day, this is unusual, where I live it's been around 15-16°C (59-61°F) a beautiful and unexpected end to a rather dissapointing summer.
Next week is to be much cooler and wet and windy!

27° Celsius (80F) right now here...too hot for me...I need an ice cold shower.
* Tubes are great during winter months, below zero.

Why Bob, I can already vision you up till your frozen nipples into a hole in the ice*, singing frantically along with your l.e. Sennheiser headphone/valve combo.

42F here, probably 100 miles or so south of you, this AM with a lot of wind and rain, most of which has blown off to the north. The flash flood warnings are gone but the creek behind our house has risen about 2 feet in the past week, and gone from near stagnant to class 1 rapids yesterday. It's a bit slower today.
I've heard TX is worst for flash floods, and having been around WV I can easily see it being second worse.
We have night temps forecast in the mid-60s range for the first time since spring. Finally...

Up here in the frigid north it's 20º
Celsius.
My honey was out on the deck sunning herself earlier and she's originally from Vietnam. That speaks volumes.
We still haven't had a lot of rain and that means the are many cedar hedges that are partly or completely dead.

Some folks they buy a hot tub or dig a swimming pool; me I'll buy an igloo.
* Yeti, that's what the Everest folks call him...the abominable snow man.
Nice fresh evening outside right now, clear crisp night full of stars...I like it.
What are you doing in North East Ohio?6°C (43°F) this a.m. in N. East Ohio

Went to the ice rink Saturday morning. Inside the building, it felt like the old days, when we skated outdoors in mid-winter.
Daughter and son in law are currently enjoying the view from their deck of the front end of Hurricane J smacking Bermuda

Bought a house here, a pied a terre
I'm enjoying the view outside from my deck right now; sunny without a cloud in the entire firmament...25° (in Canadian degrees). 🙂
Not the smallest/faint sign of any hurricane coming up on the horizon...and I won't even cut my lawn.
Did you ever hear someone said that life is just perfect here? ...If not you just did.

Just finished cutting the lawn here, Bob , so as much as I'd generally agree with your assessment of island life, " in a perfect world" the grass would stop at exactly 32mm
We (south coast of England) have had almost a week of high pressure. Clear skies, sunny days but a coolish wind rotating clockwise from the north sea.
I managed to cut both front and rear lawns (1) and trim the hedges (2) as the promised (3) weather change approaches. Westerly winds / rain starting about now, midnight GMT+1. A good 20Kg of apples still on the tree!
(1) Why don't they fit a silencer to a 1/n HP (Honda) mower engine? Extremely noisy for the neighbours on their Sunday afternoon!
(2) Getting bad at going up ladders as the years pass. Creaking joints and vertigo make being just one metre above ground an adventure! Sad.
(3) Our weather forecasts seem to be getting really accurate, despite our difficult situation between the Atlantic whirlpool and the continental landmass. Many times recently the rain / cloudbreak / sunshine have arrived with amazing precision!

Last time I was on an extension ladder it cost me 6 weeks in the hospital and a half year in physical therapy (back when DIYAUDIO was in its infancy.)

Pretty good incentive to stay off ladders.

The grass is certainly starting to slow down growth wise. Today's lawn cutting went pretty quick.

Agreed. I have the Met office App on my android tablet and it gives you accurate local forecast to the nearest hour, including; Actual & Perceived Temperature, Probability of precipitation, windspeed and direction.
