Yes indeed - Wet Coast temperate rain forest is what we have going on here - with Pineapple Express and jet stream, it's warmer than many have been in the past 20yrs

The weather forecast wasn't quite right...44.4C was the temp today.
It's now 4.30 pm and 39C...time to go for a swim I reckon.

Hey Pano, I'm looking forward to warming my bones. We'll be one island north but we can head to the south of the island and if you stick your head out the window you'll see us waving.
Hotter than predicted...bloody hot.
I do like the heat, but 44+ is a bit too hot.

Usually it's the 1st wife that drains all the blood, the next one takes care of the rest of the fluids.
(poor bstrds have what little blood they have left in their bones, sucked out by a 2nd vampire)
Last week I got a blood blister on my finger where I touched the paddle you turn the key with on a work truck. Why? Because it was -8*F at 8:00am. It was below 0*F for around a week. Buurrr!!!

In San Jose, 73F, calm and sunny - this is one of the big reasons I moved from upstate New York to Cali 35 years ago, as well as the better job prospects. NorthStar can keep his igloo....
They're telling us -2 F (-18 C) tonight here with a wind chill predicted of -20 F (-29 C) with winds of 40mph (64kph). The temperatures are now sliding downwards, has not been this cold here in at least 4 yrs. I expect our heating system is going to get quite a work out tonight.
That's pretty cold for Bean-town. When I went to school in the area 40 years ago, it was slush city in the winter.
I drove to the nearby subway station to pick up my wife, normally she would walk the short distance home, but I didn't want her to because of the cold. In the 10 minutes I waited at the station the car thermometer registered a 3 F degree drop in air temperature - even more here at home.
My dermatologist said "You Irish need to visit every year!" Sure enough there are a bunch of old Micks in the waiting room watching CNBC. He takes no health insurance whatsoever, just cash...and you can get a same day appointment.
It's about 12F here in the northern register of NJ. In 30 years in this locale the coldest it's been was -15F.
Bitterly cold with wind chill in Sutton Ontario, -20C. Car would not start without a boost. Indoor projects.

We are hearing the same numbers, but we are already at 2 F at 10 PM there is a strong wind out of the northwest. We have about 4 inches of snow on the ground. Most of that came yesterday. During that storm I chased the UPS man down the block in bare feet. Real shoes and socks today.
It was 10 F when I set out for the gym this morning. The Honda cranked very slowly, but started. It will be about 12 degrees colder tomorrow. I have walked the mile and a half before, but not tomorrow. Wind chill -15 to -20......
The old heat pump has held steady at 65 degrees through it all.

Over Xmas, temperature hit a few degrees below freezing point.
The largest freezers and fridges are in the garage.
During Xmas dinner preparations, I was in a rush and grabbed the metal door handle with a wet hand.
