About 13 degrees F above normal for this time of year, both night time and day time.
No chance for "normal" temperatures for another 10 days.
Bleh!

Speaking of cold, my sons offered to purchase a snow-plow service for me and mamselle -- if we could fit the cars into the garage. Fat chance of that happening.
It's fifteen c here right now. 23:28 local time.
Should be frost on the lawn... Just went out in my t-shirt, felt like late summer.

Based on the weather forecasts I had planed some table saw time for today, in fact, most of the day was going to be spent cutting wood for several projects. Unfortunately I must wheel my "job site" table saw out on the driveway and mother nature was NOT cooperative today. I got up to 41 F (5 C) temps and rain. Wind and rain continued off and on all day and the high temp for the day was 48 F (9 C). Maybe Monday.
You are on the other side of the cold front from me George.
Even with that someone flipped the switch. We went from 14F above normal both day and night to 2F below normal in two days. Forecast is same for the next ten days.
The summer heat may be over with, but I think the sudden change means the Blue Ridge Parkway colors will not be very good this year.

We took 2 of the 4 grand-daughters to Disney, returning this morning. It was 92F on Thursday, 88F Friday. Getting back to NJ this afternoon was 52F.
Time to clip the coleus outside and bring the cuttings in for the winter!

We went from summer to winter almost overnight. Forecast is for cold and rain well into next week. Trees are confused. Some maples are still all green with the neighboring tree mostly yellow and shedding leaves. Overall look from a distance is still predominately green.

Wednesday I mowed my yard. It was hot with zero breeze, typical hot sweaty day.
Thursday several of us met at the church to mow the three acres. It was overcast but hot when we started, but that cold wind from the northwest was starting to blow. The temp had dropped 10 to 15 degrees by the time we finished.
Friday morning it was low 50's and raining when I got up.
Yesterday, 41 and rain. Today, 44 - no rain.....yet. 30's are predicted for later in the week.
It looks like my best bet for a short table saw session might be later this afternoon. I have a birthday party for one of the grandkids this afternoon, after that, maybe.
36F and feels like 28F here right now. Overnight tonight it's supposed to be 32F with feels like 25F.
Phone says 33 degrees F, but that reading is in town. I got up to go to the gym this morning, The car was covered in ice, the puddles in the driveway were frozen all the way through......went back to bed!
I need to put some live batteries in the outdoor thermometer so I can tell how cold it really is.

Over here is Indian Summer. Took a long walk today and had to take off my thin jacket and continue with just a Teeshirt. People we met were dressed up for Sibirian Winter - hats, scarves, gloves, four layers of outer clothing ...
But HEY! It's 13 degrees C - it's f~~~ Swedish Summer!

Several days ago we had a hot wind and it was nearly 20 degrees C.
It has cooled down a bit now though.

Two weeks ago it was 89F, this week it is in the low 60s and within a week in the high 50s during the daytime.
Frost and freeze warnings are in effect at night with chances of frost and snow at higher elevations.
This is not a good sign.

30F or lower tonight here in New England, but tomorrow should get up to or even into the 60s.
soundbrigade, your beaver looks like a groundhog.
I am nothing but a groundhog ....

Turned cold here over the last few days. We had snow flurries and hail yesterday. Right now it’s clear and -2c. it was the warmest summer on record in Halifax. Dry as well, with water shortages and lots of dried up wells in some parts of the province.
Very nice over here still....... middle california in the foot-hills of the Sierra-Nevada mountains. Mild temps in the day and cool at night. No rain. But as soon as it gets cold and wet and dark sky's here, i am gone to warmer, sunny climates of Bangkok, Thailand. My refuge. 🙂
