The Weather

In my work I meet things like this where the facts don't add up. If I was a "concept of obese person " my weight would not stop at 102 Kg. Without any effort on my part it's planted there. Equally when I do try it's makes me feel ill for no real change.

I'm of the firm belief that all thin people are aliens from another world, how could they not be tempted by all of the cakes and chocolate in the entire planet. That would mean then that they are tampering with all of the scales on the entire planet, I don't like it when people tamper with science and measures.

Not true in my case.

Mine either. My mother topped out at just over 100 pounds at her heaviest. I think most of my physical attributes came from my father.

Here is a picture of me at 25 years old. I was about 130 pounds and 6 feet tall. I ate like an animal but never got above 145 pounds. I was also quite active and spent most of my non working hours outside, often at the beach.

There was a period of about a year and a half when I did get quite fat around age 40. My job kept moving further north leaving me with an 84 mile per day commute (2 to 2.5 hours total). Combine that with 8 to 10 hours sitting in front of a computer and a company cafeteria that served good cooked to order food, and I made it to 227 pounds of ROUND.

A job change, and diet change, combined with walking or riding a bicycle to work made the round go away (about 155 pounds) but I didn't get muscular until Motorola put in a gym and said it was free.

It's interesting it's a feedback loop. If it weren't I would be 200 Kg now. Some poor souls have no working loop. Diabetics also. The liver is not just a filter, far from it.

Every night the planet Venus is always on the near horizon at sunset from my bedroom window in summer. As the brightest star in the sky it is marvelous to watch ( to the unknowing eye ). My friend asked me if Venus was in Blue Jeans like the song. To which I said no as she is too hot, the facts are interesting. Circa 450C 850F and a pressure of over a ton for a match box sized area. It is speculated that aliens could hide there in the upper atmosphere of Venus where temperature and pressure match a nice day in England. Mars despite being cold would be better. We are the likely aliens when the day comes. It's said the planets fit the Golden Ratio ( 1.618 ), I see no real evidence for that although 365/225 = 1.622 Earth year to Venus. Below is the only real trend I see.

The USSR thought they saw things moving on Venus for the few minutes the spacecraft worked. With the help of NASA it seems something fell off and was seen moving.

Russian Scientist's Claim of Life on Venus Proven False

It's 7.30PM and about 16C which is a surprise as I suspect it topped 25 at 1 PM.

My 4th generation Austrailian friend always jokes we Brits are a dirty lot. The reality is where he lived didn't have aircon. He had to get up three times a night to shower. He lived in the red light part of Sydney.

Anti-psychotic medication or really most psychiatric medication will break that loop by generating an insatiable desire to eat as much sugar as possible, a side effect of most of the medications out there. That is how my feedback loop got broken and is the reason why I'm currently 175kg but I'm going down fast. About 10 years ago I was 140 kg or thereabouts and about 5 years before that I was 120kg.

You've really got to be careful with those medications (and the drug pushing doctors), I left myself on the medication for too long because I thought that I could control the desire to eat 8 liters of ice cream a day, 2 tubs of 1L yogurt and drink 2 bottles of Pepsi Max in a day, plus a pizza or two.

That depends on weather or not the aliens like UV rays, on Venus it might not be such an issue but on Mars the atmosphere is so thin that the surface receives a lot of damaging UV light at least that is all that I know of the topic.

We are the likely aliens when the day comes.
Of that I have no doubt, despite my previous notion that thin people are aliens from other planets of which I was pulling your leg with by the way, I firmly believe in the theory of Panspermia. It just fits so perfectly into everything else. I just hope that our planet doesn't blow up and/or gets incinerated by an asteroid, I'm sure that we are smart enough now to protect the planet at least from small asteroids but I'm sure that it will be a long time yet before we are capable of fully protecting the planet with say super-nukes with launch sites permanently situated on the moon and forcefields to protect said launch sites from micrometeorites (or a thin dense atmosphere of pure oxygen surrounding the moon to quickly oxidize/burn up any micrometeorites.) Just think about it, a planet with a thick enough atmosphere and a Nitrogen/Oxygen rich atmosphere with a lot of water and a low enough velocity asteroid storm is just a prime breeding ground for any and all organic substances including their DNA, and space is the ideal freezer. It wouldn't happen all of the time on every Asteroid I'm sure but I bet that it could occur often enough for it to be a viable method of transferring DNA from one planet to another.

Just think that rain and snow is probably a lot more than just water. :yuck:

The USSR thought they saw things moving on Venus for the few minutes the spacecraft worked. With the help of NASA it seems something fell off and was seen moving.
I was told by some program in my teens that the camera lens melted off, today I read that article and others related to it and it says that the camera lens caps fell off and melted on the surface.

Unless someone goes down there and checks I doubt we will ever know for sure but as you say if there are organisims in the upper atmosphere then maybe one hitched a ride on the way down on a Venera spacecraft lol.
The only problem with this theory is that there needs to be a wide supporting array of life and bacteria of all walks of life just to support one complex organism such as one postulated by Leonid Ksanfomaliti and I see no such evidence for any of that in the Venera photographs.

For an armchair biologists view on this you would expect there to be an instrument-clogging thick layer of mud in the Venus atmosphere which would have most likely stuck itself to the Venera spacecraft, and unless it was blown off by the wind as the spacecraft came down I don't see it in the photographs.

The large biological life after all needs something to hang onto in the atmosphere so that they don't get pulled down by gravity, unless they are a bladder like creature which pumps in air or exhales it to remain afloat (which burst as it came down). I also don't see how such a creature could remain in the upper atmosphere for long without being blown down to the surface by the extremely strong air currents on Venus.

Then again maybe I'm just thinking in an earth-like state of mind, maybe the creatures just simply need to be small and thin to remain aloft and glide their ways through the atmosphere and that the bacterial lifeforms on the microscopic and macro levels are simply blown around in the winds.

Yes it is hot although ideal after midnight. I saw a genuine 28C ( 82F ).

I said the other day I am obese. I am not really very fat. Even so my doctor was on autopilot when advising me. My whole life is analyzing data. i asked him if he was analyzing the data correctly. This got the answer " You must have heavy bones ". We don't get much time so I didn't push it. I said in the most gentle way possibly science should have a look at this. The picture I see is some people just get larger and larger, other's exceed the norm. Both have weakness in the feedback loop. It may be possible my group could be helped. I don't really want to have side effects of the Big Bucks Drugs. If we see fat as part of a sensible idea gone wrong I need resetting. I bet it will be a simple thing when found.

Now the ironic twist. I prefer being about 98 Kg, 102 is a bit high and 92 Kg after an illness didn't suit me. If I could stabilize at 95 Kg I guess that would be good. I guess I am 6 foot 1.

Venus and UV. In the upper atmosphere it would be OK I suspect ( 55 000 feet up ? ). Cosmic rays more the question.

Only thing is I doubt is you will go to 115 Kg. The doctors imply we just grow and grow. Not so for most. I do see age and size goes in steps. When staying with my friend who is a wonderful cook it is + 3 Kg. When you see what she would have me eat that's not bad. It feels like I eat double and that's not counting drink. I seldom drink at home. Not really being good, just not feeling I want to without sharing.

Yesterday we did have mostly 25C with peak of 28. Today it was 10C right up to about 9.30 AM. At noon 18C with predicted 28 C again by 3 PM. It feels more like 28C in the direct sun with ambient 18. Deceptive. Now since on the thread I know what I mean by hot. In Sri Lanka which is not too hot for me 28C starts early and often is true way after sun down. Here it most likely is 3 hours. It seems longer as the house takes time to go down. Some Brits have aircon these days, I laid on the bed top until 2AM instead. Today UK is hotter than much of the Mediterranean on peak temperature. Look at Norway's weather in the link then look at the map. Way up north.

I noticed your tag line Venus. My lawyer is from Zimbabwe. Her degrees from Johns Hopkins and LSE. From what I understand law is something she branched into. I would love to go into exact details, I doubt forum rules would allow it. Just to say with her barrister hat on she is one person and her Africa hat a very different person. Africa always wins.

She like myself sees corruption as the barrier to success. I took inspiration from recent things. Mobile phones seem to have done what well intentioned interfering hasn't. They give chances of a better life as people can organize themselves to get work.

Babylon Health suggest they have an AI virtual doctor which is 81% accurate. If true Africa could get improved help via similar. In time people might have less children as they would feel more confident most would live. From this we might save the beautiful forests. Alas for Madagascar it's too lat. With climate change for whatever reason exist means we are at the last chance saloon.

My Aussie friend says it's unlikely he would spend money to travel in Australia as it's cheaper to go to Europe. His point being most of Europe is more compact with many interesting things close by. Serbia to Spain is not much flying time. Very different places. Israel and Scotland only 5 hours apart. Both are foreign to me.

SUBJECTIVELY COLD

My ex came back to live for a while which will soon be a year. Not a romantic thing, just me keeping my word. I think of her as a sister I don't see eye to eye with. My friends can't cope, that's not really my problem.

In the past I gave in to every bad idea. Now I say NO. Recently this has been heating. I run mine at 16C and use the boost. I would guess 60% it is boosted to 20C. Madame was cold to which I said " put a jumper on ". At the time it was 19.6C. The other day I said to her when the sun came up what temperature is it now? 24C she said, no it was 19.6C just as when said to be very cold.

If wondering how this works out it's not bad at all. She shares stuff like I was a girlfriend and begs advice which isn't ideal. Very weird except it's the closure most never get. She thought I loved my work more than her. No, my work was hard. She was always on to me to get a better job, so I did.

Maybe you have programmed your-Self ( meaning your inner self) to be that weight...your mind, that has control over all your world, makes your archetype for your "real" physical body, and the body obeys...if you exercise yourself on seeing your ideal, it should follow that way...

Today it is a bit warmer down here: 7°C in the morning and 12°C now, but with several changes from cool/sunny to really cold/chilly/windy, in a couple of minutes!

Cheers,
M.

A blast of chile would be nice about now, it's been 32C today, we aren't used to it, thankfully I live near the beach, it's an estuary and when the tide is out the river is warm, very nice dwyryd estuary - Google Search

Nice. 🙂

I had a quick look at the origin of the Celtic/Gaelic languages: I'm not buying the accepted origin yet...though I am not an expert. 😀

I noticed your tag line Venus.

I really should remove that, its too political.

I shouldn't share my beliefs on what you said either, its too political and extreme for this forum. Suffice it to say I'm packing my portable dvd player and dvd's when I bug out. I think the best way to sum up my beliefs on society would be to set yourself up in the corner of the room and cry and dwell on the fact that Ronald McDonald would be crying himself to sleep and sucking his thumb if he knew what his products did to this entire planet. Everything sucks, not just consumerism, not just doctors, not just cars and jobs and people, everything, there is no point in doing anything because anything that we do as human beings just screws things up even more. So just stop working and bug out to the rainforest, thats my motto.

Everything evolves from Madagascar, all new genetic material is derivatives from there. We might as well just give up entirely if Madagascar dies. Nevermind global warming. Deforestation is far worse than anything we've ever done in our past.

I think the only worthwhile thing that we've actually done in the last 500 years is create alcohol and the boozo, the boozo is the most honest and most real kind of human being that I have ever met. At least they are honest with you that they don't want to live anymore when they are getting drunk. Becoming a boozo s probably the best thing that human beings can do to themselves today.

A boozo doesn't need to own a home or a bed or a car, so there is less pollution and less destruction to the world and one less job to create and forcibly keep, much less damage done to the environment then. People think that a boozo is polluting the planet, no! its everybody else who isn't joining him for a drink.

And that is just a slightly forum-friendly taste of what I think of the planet and the world and everything.

This thread is about the weather anyway.
