Not a mistake, but I dare say you could also list MJE15028 as equivalent to NPN MJE15030 and MJE15029 as equivalent to PNP MJE15031. Only Vceo is different (120V vs. 150V) That's plenty for this application.
Same datasheet. Of course if someone has those. 15030/31 I had and are the most likely to be kicking around in shops or parts bin.
Any realiable source for the 2SK117GR? A vendor from HK offers them on e-bay....
Don't know a special source. Not used enough due to medium gm to be likely fake targets though. They are offered plenty.

The one's from Thaishine were used in my prototypes without problems, measured where they should, and in circuit the whole thing did not oscillate or look noisy on a scope.
I am considering selling 2SK117GR's as an add on to the boards if getting them in other country's will cost a lot more. The same goes for some of the other semi's if sourcing is problematic. But the whole resistor thing is variable, so no full kits.

Thank you TeaBag, but unfortunately no auctions from that seller right now. 🙁

5 x 2SK117 2SK117GR K117 N-Channel 50V 14mA TOSHIBA | eBay
Ops.... this is what I got through e-bay italy:
thaishine | eBay
They seem to ship in US only from a US location.... close to you.
I'll contact the seller or ask a frined of mine 😉

R107 is standard and cap can be between 4u7 to 10u as listed. No trouble if it sits in that range. Should be more subjective given the cap model.
Maybe I am missing something but I can not figure R107 value 0.25r ?
1R
It's on the build guide on page 6.
Here is the GB thread.

On page 6 I see the schematics but without any values. I searched the pdf and got no values for R107.
Can it be ?
Can it be ?
It could be.... 🙂
Here --- look for this. Maybe you should download again. Salas has updated.
R102,202,302 270R. R106,206,306 270R/27R. 270R for MOSFET output. 27R for BJT output. 1/4W
R108,208.308 47R 1/4W
R104,204,304,107,207,307 1R 1/4W
For R103,203,303 1/4W resistors & R105,205,305 Trimmer Bourns 3296Y style, read appendix 1

Hi All,
When I connect 3 (5 volt) Sallas regs from one 12 volt Transformer I blow up a diode on the minus side, see attachment.
2 Sallas regs works fine but when I connect the third one to the DDDAC receiver board (only the 5 volt Sallas reg for the 74VHC4040M) it goose wrong.
Now I connect the 2 Sallas regs to 1 transformer everything is working fine.
I connect another 12 volt Transformer to the 5 volt Sallas reg B on the DDDAC receiver board and now are all 3 Sallas regs working.
Can someone tell me why are 3 Sallas regs NOT working with 1 Transformer?
I must connect 9 Sallas regs on 1 Transformer for the DDDAC also for the DAC towers.
Regards,
Rudy
Edit: 12 volt 500 VA Transformer the right one is for the DAC.

Too low an impedance created and too hard a current pulse for a small diode maybe. Is it a big enough transformer also?
The diodes blow up are 1N4007 now I use 1N4004 and that works fine.
The Transformer I use on the picture are without diodes 😉
I must connect 9 Sallas regs on 1 Transformer.
2off 8.4V 800mA (DAC Tower à 12xTDA1543)
3off 5V 80mA (Receiver board)
2off 3.5V 80mA (DAC Tower à 74VHC125N)
2off 3.3V 80mA (à VDD1 USB Receiver & DAC PCM2707PJT; 74HC08) (à VDD2 Tent XO Clock 12Mhz)

back again 😀
today i have replaced my transformer and experimented an 12 volts Pb acid accumalator with my Salas low shunt regulator V1.0 (5v) which powers up my M-Audio Transit usb soundcard.what i remarked is a more articulated sound.why there is audible difference between those two 12 volt supplies ? or should it be ?
thanks 🙂
ps : i like the sound with the accumulator the most

wondering what the difference would be in my jfet mm preamp?
i hope to get another two Pb accumulators(or to make an dc-dc converter(12v-30v)) and then i`ll give it a try.
