What is the standard threads on speaker terminals? They measure like 8,75 mm and rise about 0,75 mm. Standard fine course M8 rises 1 mm
Is there anybody out there?
My 'little' polishing the THORENS -case is continuing...
This slightly dirty job remembers me to a song from that australian 'folk music' - band under high voltage with 4 letters:
'dirty deeds done dirt cheap'
Doesn't look so bad.
Greets
Dirk 🙂

I have the same player in the Phonosophie 1 version, not in use anymore, so I could also have funny thoughts... 🙈
Football?Hello Plott,
I will report back- for sure. It will take some time, cause I am a bit 'handicapped'at the moment.
Knee damaged - cruciate ligament...
Cheers

I'm 4 weeks after a surgery, of course with complications, so I have time now... 🙈
Hello Stajo and all others,
somebody was kissing my motorcycle from behind... I only heard squeaky tires and felt the kiss.
But it was no kiss from a beautiful woman...
303 kg steel seemed to much for my knee. Need a classA-knee...🤔
Coolest part of the story was the doc...
Doc: Your cruciate ligament is torn. You don't need it urgently. Also Lothar Matthaeus (well known german
footballplayer) was playing without that ligament. You only have to build up some muskles.
Me: Will there be a surgery?
Doc: How old are you?
Me: 56
Doc: At that age we do normally not repair it by a surgery1
Me: Yep! With one leg in the scrap press! 🙄

Oh!
Get better guys, hope both of you get a quick recovery!
Dirk, I broke my left knee falling on rocks when I was 20, but was afraid of hosp Had finaly to go as damage wasn't healing, but refused any surgery as back then was 50% chances ending in a chair (so the butchers, err, doc, said)!
I left it, suffered quite a bit for a while, still limp a tad and the doc promised " your left knee will always be 50y older than you and the other will suffer the same fate and you will never play any sport etc."
Well, since I played rugby (hooker, not exactly comfy), badminton, squash, tennis, race bicycles, been walking on all continents except Antartica... and I raced cars, both moderns... and classics with quite heavy clutches. Guess what, my knees must be century old now LOL! OK, I can't do yoga, nor walk on my 4, and occasionaly one knee cap gets blocked, I kick it and off it goes again LOL
All this to say, if you end up like Matthäus, manage too keep muscles, don't worry too much indeed, as long as they don't write you off because you are over 50. On the other hand, I see a majour negative on your mishap for us mere mortals. You were already doing impressing (depressing for us) builds when "not stickin' around"... what will we see from you if you get bored at home??? Argh!
Get back on your feet mate

The Thorens-story continues... (this is one of the more important themes in life)
Fitting in the baseplate with loudspeaker-spikes (for adjusting the case - to place in the water horizontally)
AC - inlet will be mounted...
Cheers
