I'd be able to play, as well. I've been building replica race cars (McLaren Can Am cars) for the last two decades...... Have access, too, to a large autoclave for pre-preg materials, and access to kevlar and other exotic composites......

Why is it, that I'm in no way surprised, to find a couple of DIY audio guys, that also are playing around with composites? 😀

I too have been doing so, for like 20+ years by now.

So Woodie, you're all set for playing with composites.

Magura 🙂

EDIT: ......and Froggy, you go check your mail!

My last carbon twill and kevlar project...... 1,800 lbs (818 kgs) and 1,100 HP (I think thats 3,212 Newton/Meters/Nanosecond....!). In any case, very stable at 237 MPH (382 KPH) and THAT's without any negative feedback. 😱

I love using KPH....sounds a LOT faster than MPH....! 😀

I'm thinking that it get's a bit breezy @237 mph - you might wanna turn the baseball cap around backwards..... 😀😀😀

BTW - frigg'n great!!!! 😎

Nice work there !

Some years ago I made carbon ceramic brakes for a similar car.

Is it time to team up??? 😀

EDIT: Just found a pic of the carbon brake rotors I made back then.

Magura 🙂
