Hmmm. The pic too. Looks like Nelson just got rid of some grey market VFETs, for some smooth caaash.
naah ....... just Jan looking at new Papa's Popcorn making device ........ obviously dreaming about implementing error correcting circ , with fat controlling role .

nice chat , in any way & case . I like interviews like this .

Greedy Jan? Na, he is probably giving them away right now. Nice pic.
Trying to catch up on whats goin on here at DIY, I agree with you ZM (Not a lot;-) A thing that could be fun, would be to hook up a BA2 gainstage to a F4 he-he. Anyway, I hope the next frontend will be a high voltage version that can swing enough output to pull all the juice from those BA output stages. That would even be nice for the poor F4 builders without a Pumpkin.

Yeah, no reason that wouldn't work, and we do have the boards available.
I also agree-a shame to have all those output gizmos and not make them work hard..

someone sez A75 ?
long forgotten critter ?

Voltage doubler for frontend....

Not forgotten, LeCheff used that particular detail for the frontend of the magnificent UP. Could prove quite useful for the BA's.
BTW I said nothing is goin' on here, but I take that back. This is indeed an interesting amp: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pass-labs/162042-f5-meets-buzquito.html

😱 freakin' Dr House starring right at you😱 Scary.....😀
BTW I think there is 5 of those EC88 in my stash. ZM, What's difference between PC88 and EC88? I know nothin' about them toobes....
Thanks for the links. You guys are having a good time over there....

same toob , slightly different heaters ; ECC88 is 6V3,365mA while PCC88 is 300mA,7V6 ;
in european toob nomenclature , first letter :
E means 6V3 is primary value for heater
P means 300mA is primary for heater
considering that I'm always using CCS for heaters , I just don't care too much ;
in first case , I set CCS to have around 6V3 at heater , in second case to have 300mA through
edit :
you asking for EC (PC) or ECC (PCC) ?
first case - just one C - means one triode per bottle
second case - two C - means two triodes in same bottle

They are with just one C. With 2 C's there are these in stash: PCC85, ECC85 and UCC85. Thats 3 different types with same number. I have no idea if they are good for anything useful though.
Nope, no info about JH.

I think that JH is looking at as from above ........ certainly laughing ..... even ROFL here and there ;
he was nice lad ...... and I'm thinking that he certainly still is , somewhere .....
regarding da toobz - you really need PCC or ECC for that circ - matching issues are much smaller if we are talking about two triode systems in one bulb ........
these types you have are useful , but not so - in this case

Yea, I've been wondering too? Since August I think. Not a good feeling. Things like that have been happening all around me lately 🙁

Out at Sea Ranch we are expecting the tsunami from Chile
in two hours. Already the waves are pretty enormous, although
I don't know that it isn't from the storm that has just paused.
We will be on the bluffs, so if you don't hear from me....
