The Metronome

It would be interesting to continue the upwards taper to include a reflective cone/pyramid suspended above the driver. That would eliminate any need for a nearby reflective boundary. Once again Dave you have my stimulated my creative juices. Perhaps a Mini-Nome is in the offing…

I did a microMet for the FF85k (pre 2010) out of cardboaed with the idea of adding a continuation with a bass driver.

A met on top of a folded met wouldn’t give an optimum Met shape for the top driver. But it would be fine for housing a midTweeter in a WAW or holding a reflector. If a WAW you’d probably want the bottom to be a bit shorter, and with a WAW a dedicated woofer would be a better choice. The same could also be used for an LXmini type thing. Alreadt talking toScott about those WAW.

OK. I just "inherited" Tom's Metronomes via a BAF24 Auction purchase.

I got a number of amps.

I've started with a 5wpc Mini that got updated by Rahul... and I got the Zons of Zenductor.... I'm also wondering what a 10 wpc Sissy SIT will sound like through it.

The bass is light indeed, and they get a bit honky, but they sound quite natural... and they play loud enough. I'll post my impressions as I go along.

Thanks Tom.
