Looking closer to kuarlotron i see that when leave R9 off circuit, offset is even better 5 mV only.
Any disadvantage leaving this position empty?

That could be because it is misadjusted elsewhere, but there isn't a problem with removing the resistor.

my attempt at building the K Buffer. i mostly followed the thread on hifivision forum and also got the pcbs from a forum member there [he is active over here as well - Sachu]
this is my first ever DIY attempt in audio. K buffer coupled with Source Selector module [with remote]
i know wiring is a mess, but it works! the thin black hopping wire on the right over the signal cables is a ground cable - only one end is grounded to power ground.
buffer board and ALPS RK27 motorized pot
initial impressions are very positive. mids and highs are sounding crisp now! my sub integrates better with the music!
being my first DIY, i wasn't expecting much of an improvement. i would have been happy even if i had managed to retain the same sound quality 😛
my chain is Foobar on laptop-> Muse DAC -> K Buffer-> Swans 1080 IV monitors + Yamaha YST SW-215 sub
finally thanks to @keantoken for this beautiful buffer design!

@Project16 thanks!
@RCruz thanks! i got the R Core from the manufacturer 'Electro Magnetic Devices' [based out of Hyderabad, India]

posting a pic of finished chassis!
actually i find that front facia is the most difficult part in the whole build 😛
PS: perched on top is newly acquired SMSL M8 DAC

The Kuartlotron PCBs are ready. They are not Mesmerize clones, but they are Kuartlotrons. They use a ground plane and include an integral PCB inductor.
The cost will be $8 per PCB plus $2 shipping. Please use only genuine Fairchild transistors.

This is great !
I like two boards please - one for Joachim Gerhard as well.
a few years ago we enjoyed your work and I like to listen to the real deal and enjoy your work one more time!
Thank You!
