AllenB, I have oats 5 out of 7 days for breakfast.
I use traditional oats, not instant ones.
I mix broken walnuts, dried cranberries and 1/2 cup of oats. Add water until they are well covered and 3:30 in the microwave.
One can substitute milk, half/half, etc, but it is inclined to boil over.
I made dirty rice yesterday and had it for dinner tonight.
1# ground round (ground it myself) fried until it is brown
add garlic, peppers, onions, chopped celery, and two large jalapenos and cook till the onions are translucent
add 1-1/2cups brown/red/black rice mixed
1 can Rotel tomatoes and green peppers
two cans of water
1TBSP Cajun spice mix
I should have started the rice separate since it takes so long to cook compared to white rice. The peppers and onions were falling apart.
Quite tasty though.

Doesn't it take about 30 years for a Halibut to get 'big'?
That's why I was so impressed that they are growing halibut in dry land pens. Like I said, not the same flavour as a "big" wild halibut, but still pretty good.
Over 200kg happens but not commonly, highest registered in Norway on a fishing pole is 223kg by a German fisherman. There was one at 243kg, also by a German fisherman, but his pole broke and he was assisted because of it.
Highest registered in a fishing net is 314,5kg.
Highest caught without fishing equipment is almost 200kg!

Lethocerus indicus -- giant waterbug -- male sweat glands are used as a flavorant in Thai and Vietnamese cooking.
My #2 son gave me "Nose Dive: A Field Guide to the World's Smells" -- for Christmas, so now I know the Dutch term for toe-cheese. (Also got a gift certificate to Flaviar" but the Japanese whiskies are unavailable.)

That's a tiddler, I'd only pay to see a 150kg+ fish caught by hand.
