That's a great idea, thanks sharing the tip 🙂 🙂 🙂The case is from vt4c and I removed the front lettering with a sugar cube.
Cheers,
Dennis
You use the sugar cube as an abrasive to remove the paint.
If everything works out properly, the sugar is harder than the paint but softer than the anodize.

I Imagine one could also use nail polish remover to take off the lettering.
Alcohol also can work. Abrasives may make a visible wear spot on the surface.
The advantage to anodizing is that it's pretty impervious to most solvents. You can find stuff like Goof-off, and nail polish remover at a local store.
In my case, neither alcohol nor nail polish remover worked on the front lettering.
So before trying to get more industrial strength products, I thought I'd give the
old sugar cube a try. 🙂

I used dollar store carpet cleaner and it worked like a charm, I have the same case ( with sepaker terminals!)
I am literally packing them up right now, and hope to have some shipped tomorrow... Then the time it takes to get them showing in stock from the fulfillment company, I would expect about 7-9 days.
Thanks Jim.
Hoping to jump the gun before most of the DIY Audio members wake up, else it will be gone before I can say 'cheese'.

F6 kits back in the store. (EDIT - Well, the fulfillment company says they are there, but the F6 Kit page in the store isn't showing it yet... I'll look into it...)
If there is an initial rush where it clears out stock, don't worry, there are multiple boxes of kits in-transit to the store, and enough are being made to have good stock for some time.

It looks ugly, but it sounds good, very good.
Lovely amp.
look good ,nice work....
Its a trick to find the kits, I just snagged one, 4 left now. You have to click on the "F6 Kit" from the top menu, not from the kit page.
Thanks for getting these together. I am going to try these in my Aleph J box with the already present PSU.

I stocked up on JFets (matched sets and non) earlier when they were easier to get.
You can get matched sets from Spencer, Toshiba and a wide range of idss.
Very dependable.
